NSV: Gym Mirrors
One thing I've always been so annoyed by is the fact that the gym is COVERED in mirrors. On EVERY wall! Why the heck do people want to watch themselves working out in a mirror?
Needless to say, the mirrors have always made me self-conscious. I'm constantly tugging my shirt so it's not outlining my fat rolls and avoiding my reflection as much as possible. Until today, that is. Today, I looked up at the mirror and thought Holy ****, Katie, you're looking mighty good! I actually looked people in the eye today and smiled and felt great about my progress. But, still... Even feeling good about my body and progress... What is UP with all those mirrors?! |
Well done on your newfound self-confidence! Rock it, gal. And congrats on your progress. :)
By the way, the mirrors are there at least in part so you can check your form (especially when you're doing strength training with free weights). That's about the only thing I miss when I'm working out at home, the ability to check my technique from different angles. |
I guess checking your form with mirrors makes sense. But hey, congrats!

Thanks, ladies! I guess that makes sense, but I don't have to like it, right? ;)
