Shed 50lbs in 4 months ish!

I started my weight loss journey on March 9th, 2011 and since have lost 52lbs. I knew I had to lose weight now when I saw 276 on the scale. That appalled me! With my height, 5'3 that would mean I would have to lose about 140lbs to get a normal BMI and weight. I knew I had a rough road at the beginning and at the time I dreamed of the time when I saw 225 on the scale, because that in my mind would be that the up hill to this journey was over and it would be downhill from there on out. The downhill not necessarily being the half way mark on the total pounds i want to lose but 225 being a significant weight loss where I'd would see some difference and be too far into this journey to stop now. Having said this, most people around me are beginning to notice the weight loss and often congratulate me. I am not one to tell people about my weight loss journey bluntly and for some it may seem like its more prone to failure. Well this last weekend, I saw 224 and it made me feel really good about this whole ordeal and cant wait when I reach Onederland and even more excited when I reach 180lbs which is about 40lbs from now. All you ladies and gents will see my progress here, for now I just wanted to share what i have accomplished so far.

WOW! Congrats :bravo: How'd you do it? I have lost 28lbs since June 1,2011 and I am realllllly hoping I can see the same kind of loss as you. I started at 275 and down to 237 now. I have a total of 135lbs to lose :(

Kitty Kat, Its been a hard journey...but for the first 2 months I consumed no alcohol, fast food, fried food or sweets and worked out maybe about 1 or 2 times a week, swimming mostly. The second 2 months, I began doing P90x and became less dramatic on the foods I ate, however, I am a vegan but found that it is easy to eat tons of carbs which is why I am so heavy to begin with. I eat 1300 calories a day under a 150g of carbs and ofcourse I don't any animal products. I allow myself one glass of wine every sunday, just one. I do P90X everyday except friday and I do high impact aerobics monday-thursday, wednesday I triple it up with climbing stairs, and i hike every sunday morning and walk a couple of miles on Saturday. Friday, i don't really work out...but I do go out dancing (which I don't really count officially). I do the whole extra walking thing at the mall and stuff like that. So you can say I am really active now, but it is something that has been gradual. I don't really like to work out but I do it because I don't want extra skin...my elasticity is pretty good but just in case. Im graduating from college this coming year and my pictures are gonna stay with me forever, so that's my deadline. :)

Fuct, We CAN do it!!!!!!! I totally agree.

Awesome job! I think when we all start out we see our ultimate goal and it seems quite daunting doesn't it? But it is achievable and you can do it! Keep it up.:)

(If you haven't already you should try some mashed cauliflower. I just made some for the first time this week. It's excellent and a great source of vitamins!)
