Hey that is an awesome attitude to have! The scale is only one of the ways in which we can see results! Kudos to you for not getting clingy with the scale LOL.

Great job, Mira. You should be really proud of yourself. I'm proud of you.

Sometimes I wish I could stay off the scale, but that would never work for me. I have to see that tiny progress every couple days. or I get antsy. I was out of town from 7-1 to 7-5 and it made me a little crazy to not weigh myself. I knew I was eating correctly. I walked miles with my cousin when she walked the dog. I drank water. I knew I was doing everything correctly, but I didn't SEE the results of that good behavior and I didn't like that. There's a girl at my gym that is losing a lot of weight but never weighs herself, either. I love that we all have our own ways of doing this.

I definitely see it both ways. I can imagine the feeling of being so antsy to get to that scale, after all you deserve to see results with all the effort you put in! But in the end, everyone knows themselves and how they are and I am SURE that I would become WAY too clingy with the scale and become obsessed with a number as opposed to how I look and feel. Also, I am built to be heavy- I've had doctors/professionals tell me that with my build I can become lean for sure, but never "very skinny" or "slight". That's cool with me, though. As long as I look in the mirror and feel happy, I don't care about the number as much!!

That is A LOT already! Whenever I feel 5 lbs is just a small amount of weight loss...my hubby takes me down to the meat department and hands me a package of 5lbs of meat... and it reaffirms that those small steps DO COUNT! Kudos to your loss so far....keep it up!

Thank you!!! I am so happy that I did it like that, it made me feel so much better. I have lost 30 pds since then and I get on the scale much more regularly. I hate the scale, but it's a good tracker of my progress now. I can't wait for the day I don't fear the scale... if that day every comes lol
