25lbs down!

in light of how much i have left to lose (110lbs) it doesn't seem like much... but i picked up a 25lb pail of carpet adhesive at the hardware store... and holy smokes that is not a little chunk of weight! no wonder my knees and ankles are much happier with me :)

down from 300lbs to 274.5 as of today! i started march 15th... so 7.5 weeks, or 3.4lbs per week, approximately (i'm sure the high average is due to the huge losses of water weight the first week or so). :) i know you're not supposed to lose faster than 2lbs per week. but i've kept my calories in a range recommended to lose that amount (1600-1800/day) while exercising 3-4x per week. i'm pretty sure it's leveled off now.

however! i'm really hoping i can push the issue a little bit and get 2.3lbs a week over the next two weeks... so i can be at 269.9 for my wedding. below 270. 10% of my starting weight lost. 30lbs gone. SO HOPING... *fingers crossed*

Today was the day I hit 25lbs also.

It really is a good feeling. The way I figured it was in "5lb bags of sugar" - I imagined how it would feel to carry around five of those with me today, and that helped me realize how much weight 25lbs really is.

So good job, great accomplishment.

This is actually my first post. Long time lurker, and even after I signed up a few weeks ago, I guess I still didn't know what to say. When I saw your 25lb post, I guess I figured that since it was my 25lb day too, it was time to post something.

The one thing is, I'm not actually able to tell any difference in my size between now and 18 weeks ago, which is when I started this journey. I'm not sure how I will be able to see myself any differently, if I can't even see the difference of 5 extra bags of sugar off of my body!

Either way, that's a whole lot of weight, so I know we can keep going and get to our goals, since we've already come so far.

Congrats! I hit 24 today and can't believe how much better I feel. My nephew weighs 24 lbs and I can't imagine carrying him 24-7. I have a long way to go as well but we will get there. Slow and steady wins the race.

Have FUN at your wedding! Stress can slow down weight loss so don't get discouraged if that happens. Keep doing what you're doing :)
