  • So I set a mini goal for myself not to binge at night for at least two nights in a row. I know that doesn't sound like it would be that hard to accomplish but for me it is. I have problems falling asleep at night and unfortunately eating a horrific amount of food is the only way for me to fall asleep. Soooo not doing it two nights in a row is awesome for me! I do weight watchers, so I plan to have a small snack I can bring downstairs with me to eat right before bed (4 cups fat free kettle corn (1 point) and 27 gold fish (1.5 points)). This allows me to still have something to eat without having an all out binge-fest! So ya! Now my next goal is to continue this behavior for the next 5 days! It would be great if I can teach myself to unlearn this horrible habit! Wish me luck.

  • Good luck!! One day at a time..You can do it!!
  • Hooray! That's amazing! I know because I suffer from late night bingeing as well. You should visit the "Chicks in Control" sub-forum. We all know what it's like to suffer from bingeing/food addiction/overeating, etc.
  • Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check it out!
  • Amanda, thank you sooooooo much glad too hear a success story of my same situation...last night i had the worst binging episode ever....i to am on weight watchers and yesterday i had used all of my points i was very satisfied not hungry at all....but my mother made tacos for my sister and her company and i totally gave in to 2 tacos and a mini brownie fudge sundae (there goes my WAP)....i too am going to try and commit to a mini non binging goal.....and the popcorn would have been a WONDERFUL choice last night instead of what i had...
  • Keep at it you can do it. They say it takes 21-30 days to make something a habit. When you reach that point see if it comes more naturally.
  • 2 days is still 2 days! Congrats!!
  • Good luck Amanda! You can do it girl!
  • Great! I too have my worst times at night and use food to help me sleep which I am working on changing. Two nights is FANTASTIC!
