New Year's Resolution!
Ok, so I initially lost 30 pounds about 7 years ago, and then gained 15 back, but I was able to maintain at 15 below my original weight, which I was ok with. Until I wasn't. Over the last three years I have lost and gained that last other 15 several times. This New Year's I resolved to lose just 10 (I'd really like to lose that 15 plus another 15), just a moderate 10 pounds, which I knew I could do. But the other half of the resolution was to KEEP IT OFF the rest of the year. As long as I'm ten pounds less I will call it success.
So I immediately lost the first five, and then got stucked. I trained for a century ride during which I learned that exercise is not enough for me to lose even a single pound. I rode my century (my first, yay!). Then after that I cut back on my food, and probably most importantly, decided to limit my alcohol intake to one drink a day. Today I weighed in and I have lost ten pounds! :carrot: Not all I have to do is keep it off!!! |
