One step at a time

Hi there,
I have a long way to go but am taking things one step or should I say 5kg(10 pounds) at a time.

For every 5kg I lose I am going to treat myself, without food of course.

I am 100grams away (which isn't much by the way) from my first lot, when I get there I am getting a hair cut which I desperately need :P

At 10kg its gonna be dying my hair, 15kg a manicure, 20kg a Pandora Bead, and I haven't thought any further ahead than that :P

Anyways wish me luck! And hopefully I'll be getting a haircut on Wednesday!

Sounds like a good plan. It's always good to have non food rewards. Good luck and enjoy that hair cut!

Goal /reward setting is a great idea! Good luck.

I am doing the same and already made it to a pedicure! I find the goals and rewards keep me going!

If you're defining a plateau as a week of staying the same weight, since starting 7 1/2 months ago I have had 7 occasions when that happened. It hasn't stopped me making progress in the longer term. Since a few were TOTM-related, I often had a good loss the next time the scale moved, but sometimes it was just a pound. It's what happens in the long term that matters the most, so don't beat yourself up over it and don't let it throw you off track. Take note of what happened if you think there is a specific cause, make changes if you need to, but otherwise don't worry. :)

Your story was very helpful for me. I have yo-yoed for years. The first 10 pounds have been usually pretty easy, but this time, I seem to be stuck at 6 pounds. Since this is just the beginning, again, it's frustrating. I really appreciate the calm attitude. It helps me to stay focused. And this time I am determined to stick with it, so any steadfast advice is greatly appreciated.

I am soooo close to 10kg. At 8.7 at the moment.
Hopefully my hair will look amazing this time next week!
