Smile NSV: no emotional eating and binging

Hi everyone.

I wanted to share a NSV: I had a very very upsetting conversation with a family member this morning. I mean, it was an emotionally difficult "argument" for over 30 minutes on the phone, and then when I got off the phone, I cried my eyes out. But then afterwards, I realized that #1- I had not had breakfast yet, and #2- I didn't feel compelled to binge on rich food. So now I am having my planned breakfast of cereal and skim milk with a piece of fruit.

Being on a healthy food plan since February has really helped me learn to cope in ways other than binge eating!!! YAY!!!

Excellent. Learning to cope with the stress in life is the first step to success. Keep it up. Also I just read in another thread about setting short term goals. Maybe setting a goal of losing 10% of the weight and celebrating that. I would think that seems more attainable and there would be less chance of discouragement. But do celebrate this one great success. Keep it up.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! As a binge eater, I can totally relate to what a change this would be! Congratulations!
