Default I resisted!

I just started this 'diet' a couple days ago, and I've had trouble with motivation and resisting in the past - and I wasn't sure how I was going to be with temptation this time.

Today was a coworkers birthday and for the birthday treat we had fruit kabobs and fruit dip. The fruit dip looked all kinds of bad for me ... and oh so very yummy. And yet, I managed to resist it... I mean, fruit can be eaten without dip!!

It's small, but for me it shows me that I am more serious than I was before

Way to go! I totally agree. I never made it past 2 weeks and this time I have and I don't even crave those bad things at all anymore.

Good going!

One thing I have realized about this weight process is that it isn't about the physical change in our bodies (though that's nice), but it's the change in our values and motivations .... similar to what a drug addict goes through in recovery.

So those moments, like the one you had, are much more signifigant than a few pounds lost.
