Default New...the story so far!

New to site, so thought I would introduce myself and give you my story so far. I'm 46, from Scotland and married with 2 kids. I've battled weight most of my life. The usual story..sad, so I eat, happy,so I eat, stressed, so I eat etc etc!

I reached my largest after my 2 sons were born. The eldest is 12 tho, so how long can I use that as an excuse!! I worked on the ground for an airline for many years. 3 years ago it was announced that the office was closing. We had the option of taking redundancy or applying for cabin crew (flight attendant). At that stage I reckon I was 266 lbs, so just laughed. However, I tagged along to meetings with my friends. Before I knew what was happening, I had gone for an interview and got the job! There is a swimming test in initial training ( you have to get yourself into a large rubber dinghy from the deep end of the swimming pool). As long as I passed that, I was told, my weight wasnt really an issue.
However, this gave me the motivation I needed to finally lose some weight. That was 3 years ago. I am now 210, so I've lost 56 lbs. However, most of that was over a year ago. I have yo yo dieted from 212lbs to 203 so many times in the last year! I am hoping that being on this site will give me the support to lose the rest of the weight that I need and want to.

Have before/after photos, but cant upload them as says file too large and to resize them. Not a clue how to do that! Any advice? Will have another go at it later!

I use photoshop to re-size. Most digital camera's come with a program that you can use to manupulate your images.

Welcome to the site.
