Well, I'm one week in and ten pounds down.
Let's see, that means I should lose 100 pounds by mid-April. Right? Dang, this dieting thing is easy!
I'm kidding. I realize that 10 pounds in one week is kind of an aberration and I don't expect anything near that amount in the weeks to follow. But still, it's a nice bit of motivation to see that at the end of the first week.
More importantly, I feel like I have some momentum now. I got through those first few days which I thought would be the hardest, but they weren't too bad. Reading and posting here was a big help in that regard.
So, thanks to everyone who has offered me support and I'll keep you updated.
