My initial motivation was that the guy I had been with for 3 years, who I was pretty sure was "the one" - dumped me because I wouldn't lose weight (or rather, had been struggling with losing it for about a year). He never came out right and said it quite like that, but he did in many...many other ways - even months after we broke up. Initially (1st month) I was like I AM DOING THIS TO WIN YOU BACK. Then we met after a month, and it still wasn't good enough for him, so I began doing it for myself. To feel better, to get back to who I knew I was, and to find a new purpose in life. What KEPT me motivated however was getting into Crossfit and wanting to compete in that arena
. I have a wonderful trainer and a great group of people I work with, so making them proud as well as myself is my constant daily motivation now.
