From 264 to 194

  • I made it under 200! Well, I've been stuck in the 190s for five months, so I guess I could have posted this five months ago. Better late than never, right?

Anyway, I lost 70 pounds from November of 2009 to August of 2010. At first my feet were so bad that I could only lift weights. In May of 2010, I started running. My gym closed a few months ago, so I stopped lifting. Lifting was a huge part of my weight loss! It boosted my metabolism and allowed me to lose more weight on more calories. SWEET. I'm trying to get in the habit of strength training at home, but with grad school and a munchkin, it's tough to make it a priority! I was a pretty dedicated calorie counter. Now that I'm stuck, I'm turning back to calorie counting to hit my next goal. Come on, 160! Also, I'm now training for a marathon. Given that I could barely make the 10-minute walk to the park not even a year, that's pretty freaking awesome.
