That is so cool, Modcat! Running has definitely breathed some new life into this body. After having my baby and having no energy until I stopped nursing, I didn't think running was something I would ever want to do.
I started on April 7, 2008, with just an hour-long walk around the track, and have just been gradually changing it up to harder workouts.
My stretch marks are virtually non-existent now. When I was able to see them after I had my baby (they were on the underside of my belly), I was horrified. I never thought I would be able to get rid of them. The more weight I lose, the tighter my stomach has gotten. I play a lot of softball as well, so I do a lot of sprinting since I am an outfielder. Other than that, I haven't touched a weight in about three months, besides my baby and a bat. I think I will start strength training in October though, after I get a membership to the Y.
