Default A $50 Cookie?

So tonight in my Food Instruction Class- the consultant teaching it basically said that if you have a cookie- it throws everything out the window for about three days.... and you have basically just wasted $50 worth of product (HNS, Fiber, supplements, ect.)

That freaked me out a bit. That also made me feel like...well- If I get off program then I might as well wait to take another HNS for three days, but I don't think that is the right train of thought.

What do you think about this?

I'm not an expert but I don't think one little cookie will mess up your diet. Not sure about the fiber and supplements but I don't think thats the way he should motivate people...

For me, it would be a motivator in a way because I have invested a lot of money in myself via this program.

The way I understand from class tonight it does take 72 hours to get back into full fat burn but it won't knock you completely out of fat burning if you jump right back on track.

Guess it's too bad my class was canceled when I showed up at the start of program. I was the only one who came so one of the coaches just took me into her office and did a quick summary. Sounds like there is a bunch of stuff she didn't cover.

I do agree that going off program wastes time and therefore money because I finally did go off program New Years Eve and in spite of trying to correct the slip up with extra exercise, I was up 1.5 lbs at my weigh-in four days later and I didn't get that weight back off and an additional loss until the 10th. I talked about it in the January thread.

You need to use it as motivation! The time and especially money I put into this program is absolutely one of my motivators. Saying something to the affect of "well, I messed up and kicked my body out of ketosis, so I may as well write off the next three days" is a slippery slope you don't want to step on. How many times have you seen on here people like me coming on and saying we ate something off plan and end up munching the rest of the day? There's a huge mental component you've got to be in charge of.
