Rewards for reaching Goal?

I know you are not supposed to reward yourself with food, but since that has always been a big part of my problem (you built a porch on the front of your house: go to P.F. Changs and have some dinner and desert, you put in a new flowerbed: too tired to cook, order pizza, you got a Promotion : go out and celebrate at Logan's). I was wondering what some other people will be doing to celebrate reaching their goal.

I hate clothes shopping, even when I was thinner before, I hated clothes shopping. I have a very hard time fitting my bust. Although I enjoy how it feels to get a massage, strange people touching me always creeps me out, so I don't really want to do that either.

I was thinking of getting a new piercing, but that would require 6 weeks of healing time in which case I would have to be very careful doing certain naughty things with the husband.

Any suggestions?

I like electronics, and I have been wanting an ipad, so maybe.
Vacation...that requires more money than I have :) especially doing the program, so mabey in a year or so.
Sexy photo shoot...is a scary scary idea, but I guess if I get my awesome abs back I can see it.
I want a new tattoo, but I want a 3/4 sleeve, so that is also going to require some saving up. Honestly I would also love to get a full back piece, but that is way over budget.

Thanks for the ideas, I never thought of the sexy photo shoot...I acutally know a guy who does that.

An Ipad would be a great gift for getting to goal. Especially with the release of the new Ipad, the Ipad2 prices are reduced!

Girlygirl.

I love jewlery, I love the shiney, but I just don't wear it. My husband keeps buying me beautiful necklaces and bracelets and earings, but it never goes with my t-shirts, and I am too frumpy right now to wear anything that they would go with. Maybe afterwards. Shiney!!

I love Maurices... one thing I did was buy a pretty ring (aquamarine/tourquoise type thing) during the after-Thanksgiving sale. I haven't worn it or had it resized until I have reached goal. It's nice to get it out every now and then and see where I am on ring sizes.

I'm also planning a short get-away ... somewhere with a pool and hot tub and what-not... with the hubster.

I think that your reward has to be something personal to you. I know that I'm happy when I can get a mani/pedi, new music, an afternoon free of work, kids, etc. But you have to kind of figure out what gets you excited! Good luck!

For 20lbs lost I had my first ever manicure. For 40lbs I got my nose pierced. Im right near 50lbs but my next goal is 60lbs so im trying to figure something out (kinda hard to top the nose piercing for me at this point lol). Maybe a massage or facial.

I recently hit my 50 lb goal and my husband gave me a spa day. I'm staying over night at a nice hotel nearby the place and will have a whole day of pampering. Massage, facial, lunch brought in, manicure then pedicure. I bought myself a new camera bag that is awesome and doesn't look like the typical male black bag.

Congrats Fluffy on making your 50lb goal. That is awesome!!! I hope you enjoy your spa day, you deserve it. I am 3lbs away from my 50lb goal, but really not gonna celebrate again until 60lbs. I'll be 185 then. I am currently 198. I havent been below 200lbs in 10years!!!! Ive found that Im not really so focused on the lbs as I was in the beginning as I am in the way that my clothes fit. Just for kicks and grins I pulled out a pair of pants that were my favorite for two years because they made me look "skinny" and they fell off of me. I was in shock.

That is awesome /kevnashliesmom! This is my first big celebration. I can't remember the last time I was in the 180's. Good luck to you and when you sign the 50 lb board you should celebrate in some way at least.

I do simple things for the small rewards. Like get a new cd or dvd or books, and for the big rewards, I will get my hair done, i get all my friends to go out for a girls night of dancing. Just anything that we never seem to have enough time for but love doing. I dont think it has to be crazy since I cant afford much to I try to do things I love but put on the back burner because of life.

I am planning on a sexy photoshoot as well. It is something I have wanted to do for myself and hubby for YEARS, but never felt comfortable enough. I went ahead and scheduled the date (about 2 weeks after when I should meet my goal). I feel like that will be a good motivator and keep me on track to get there!
