Talking Ready to wear cute clothes again!!

I just wanted to say hello!

I have just started with Metabolic this week. I am pre-conditioning right now, and I am hopeful that this can be a long-term approach for weight loss. I have lost a little weight on my own with exercise and cutting out sugars and junk food, but I think years of yo-yo diets have made it difficult to lose weight….

I am so tired of hiding in my clothes, covering up my arms, and wearing blue jeans in 100 weather!

I am hoping this website can keep me motivated and accountable as I start my 17 week plan

Hi, LILSH1987. I am glad to hear that you started on MRC. I as you have recently started as well and am so ready to lose this weight. Hang in there no matter how tough it is at first.

I look forward to your posts; I as you find this website very motivating. I like to read what everyone posts and use the tips for my program. I am currently at 159 as well (5ft 0) and need to get down to 130-well 120 but if I hit 130, I'll know its doable.

Maybe we can buddy up on this together and encourage each other?

JourneyGirl23 -- we do have the same goals!! I think I am going to start posting my meals on the OP Menu thread, it seems like writing down everything I eat really does make a difference. I started the yellow menu Saturday, and I go in tomorrow to weigh and get my next menu (I think the green menu?). I am hoping I have lost some weight since last weeks weigh in! We should buddy up!

JenB72 -- I really love this forum, whenever I need support or feel like cheating, I just get on and read until I'm pumped up again. Thank you for the encouragement!

Welcome LILSH1987 & JourneyGirl23!!

One of my greatest thrills happened a couple of weeks ago when I walked into a dressing room and was able to "slide" on a pair of size 10 jeans!! I very rarely go shopping because almost nothing ever fits. I tore those jeans off as fast as I could and double-checked the size, thinking they must be a 12!! But they were truly a 10. LOL. My friend recently gave me a ton of size 10 pants & capris and everything fits.....even too big in the waist.

You 2 will get to that point too....probably sooner than you realize!!

It helped me (especially in the beginning) to have a top & a pair of pants hanging in my room as a goal. Maybe shorts and a sleeveless top would help you to LILSH1987.

Like Jen said, join us on the August thread. There is A LOT of great support there!

~Connie~
