any indians/ non americans on mrc plan?
hi ladies,
Ive been reading up on this forum about MRC and first of all I have to say that you guys are super inspiring.
I am an Indian and I was wondering if there was any Indian/non american out there practicing this plan. The reason i ask is i do not eat much meat and and the a lot of food (some veggies) and a lot of meat choices i haven't even heard of! The whole food plan looks so alien to me (we use lots of spices and almost never eat any meat steamed or boiled.) From what i have researched the veggie plan delivers slow results. I was just wondering if they were people like me on this plan , if they';ve been able to make the crossover and what their feedback might be.
I'm all enthusiastic now and right now in a ready-to-do-anything kinda phase but i fear i might quickly give it up once im actually on the plan
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to all of you.
Krishna

Hi Krishna,
I noticed you haven't had any replies to your question. That's pretty amazing. Would love to know how you do on this veggie plan. I didn't know this existed. Wishing you all the best.

I know there's another gal who is on the vegetarian plan who has lost 100lbs or so, but I can't think of her screen name.
When I get a chance, I'll glance through some old threads to find her again. I remember her because she also has a blog describing why she wanted to lose weight, and it really rang true for me.
EDIT:
Aha! I found her! Her screen name is sweetsmmr91. She asks in one of the old threads if there is anyone else doing the vegetarian plan, as she feels like she's the only one. That's the other reason I remembered her.
Here is her 3FC diet blog: http://www.3fatchicks.com/diet-blogs...r91/diet-plan/

Hi Krishna! I'm American but I have been lamenting the lack of veggie options too. I am not a vegetarian but, before MRC, I rarely ate meat. I have started eating chicken and (occasionally) fish but I always have one serving of egg whites a day. Luckily, I love egg whites!! I've been learning how to spice my chicken so I enjoy it a little better but it was definitely a change from what I was used to. Good luck to you!

Ah! Me ! I'm a vegetarian, American, but a vegetarian! The plan has worked fabulously for me. Not slow at all, actually satisfyingly quick. I really appreciate the plan a lot. I have only been a vegetarian for about 11 months, and on the diet for about 8. I have so far lost about 130 pounds (wow so weird to type!) and I still have about 50+ left. Feel free to ask me any questions, I wish you luck! We can be metabolic vegetarian friends!

I am on Phase 1, started on Apr 02. Week 1 = lost 7 lbs , week 2 = no weight loss :-(
I have a weigh in this Thursday and hoping for the scale to go down.
How are you controlling not to eat rice or roti? I am soooo tempted to eat the food but trying to stay strong.
I wonder why moong dal sprouts can't be taken? they are protein rich but my coach said stick with the plan and so I am not trying it but I do take few spoons of tomato rasam once in a while.
