i eat apples every day because of the ease of throwing one in my purse. so my question is, what would be a better substitute? are citrus fruits better? i just need something i can grab and go because i am not a food-prep kind of gal.

I'm not saying apples aren't good choices...better than a candy bar, huh? And if you really like them...eat them. They are OP after all, but yes...I was told citrus is better and berries if you like them at all and can easily transport them. Citrus is very transportable...in their own disposable containers

Check to back of the cook book for the amount of carbs and calories for the different fruit servings. Try clementines (or tangerines) - easy to peel, mostly seedless.

When I was having trouble with not losing, one of the counselor's told me to stop eating fruit from trees and go with the ground fruit such as berries. I love strawberries (especially in cottage cheese), but have you all seen the price of strawberries lately??? Yikes!!!! Living in Nebraska probably doesn't help. LOL
