How do you measure portion sizes 4 the recipes on the green menu? i mean how do you measure 1 serving? (DUH) Is it ok 2 have 2 HNS at a time? I use the creamy in preparing dinner and i have a clear to wash it down also , is any1 having luck with the triphala? my dosage is 4 a day but it doesnt help one bit. My DH is having it with his (regular) meals and he doesnt seem to notice any difference either .Ohh n 1 more - for the first time in my life im cooking asparagus :P are u supposed to supposed the eat the stuff on top or just the normal green shoots ??! thanks

What is Triphala? My center hasn't introduced me to that one yet...

Also... don't freak out at the smell of your urine after eating asparagus.... it's normal.

OK... I use the scale to measure everything unless the menu has the qty in cups. Yes, you can have 2 HNS at a time. Never used or heard of Triphala. Eat the whole asparagus... my fave way is to roast in oven, sprinkle with a little bit of sea salt, pepper and a little drizzle of olive oil and bake for about 30 min until edges are browned and crispy, rest is tender... love it!!

I googled "triphala" and found out it is an traditional Indian herbal supplement with lots of wonderful benefits, including promoting regular bowel movements. It is safe for vegetarians (which a lot of Indians are) and promotes well being for everyone, but does not seem to be a "quick acting" cure type of herbal pill. Read more about it at these websites:

Did you get Triphala from MRC or was it recommended by your MRC counselor?
I do not fink it on the list of products I received.

I used triphala for the first time yesterday and it made me go to the bathroom within a couple hours, which is what i have a problem with since I'm on iron supplements I often have trouble in that area - so I will keep you posted if it continues to work the way it is supposed to...

Asparagus is also really good cooked on a Foreman grill. Just drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with whatever spices you like (No salt added Cavender's is pretty good). Whatever oil drains into the tray while it's cooking, I just pour back over it about halfway through cooking.
