What is Triphala? My center hasn't introduced me to that one yet...

Also... don't freak out at the smell of your urine after eating asparagus.... it's normal.

OK... I use the scale to measure everything unless the menu has the qty in cups. Yes, you can have 2 HNS at a time. Never used or heard of Triphala. Eat the whole asparagus... my fave way is to roast in oven, sprinkle with a little bit of sea salt, pepper and a little drizzle of olive oil and bake for about 30 min until edges are browned and crispy, rest is tender... love it!!

I googled "triphala" and found out it is an traditional Indian herbal supplement with lots of wonderful benefits, including promoting regular bowel movements. It is safe for vegetarians (which a lot of Indians are) and promotes well being for everyone, but does not seem to be a "quick acting" cure type of herbal pill. Read more about it at these websites:

Did you get Triphala from MRC or was it recommended by your MRC counselor?
I do not fink it on the list of products I received.

I used triphala for the first time yesterday and it made me go to the bathroom within a couple hours, which is what i have a problem with since I'm on iron supplements I often have trouble in that area - so I will keep you posted if it continues to work the way it is supposed to...

Asparagus is also really good cooked on a Foreman grill. Just drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with whatever spices you like (No salt added Cavender's is pretty good). Whatever oil drains into the tray while it's cooking, I just pour back over it about halfway through cooking.
