Pre-conditioning? I never bothered with that, I just started and had no problems. Let me know if that helps you.

Ranangirl and Amandapanda812,
The preconditioning is basically for you to decrease your caffeine (coffee and sodas) intake, decrease your sweets and carbs such as bread, rice, potatoes, etc so Days 1-4 will not be such as shock to your system. Abrupt stop of caffeine can cause very unpleasant headaches. Often a person loses on preconditioning. Use the information from Karen1234's post below as a guide and look at the recipes posted on the Recipe Thread. At the bottom of many recipes, it tells which days you can start eating that recipe on. Use what you remember and common sense. We are here for support but you have to make the effort also. Good luck

Default Need Menus

I would love MRC menus. I need to lose about 40-50 pounds. I have the pre-conditioning menu and have paid my money to join MRC but my doctor will not approve the program - he does no approve of the supplements. I had cardiac bypass surgery seven years ago. I have found, on this board, a place to order the protein drinks and do not need to take any of the supplements. When I joined MRC, I also bought the MRC-6 supplements.

If someone could be kind enough to send me the menus, I would appreciate it. My e-mail address is: carter1311@bellsouth.net.

To all of you whom are just "thinking" about the program, and "want" to see a menu to see what its like---- I was exactly the same way before i started, and Believe ME, if I HAD seen the first 2 menus beofre i joined, i NEVER would have joined!! !!!!!! Can you say "STARVATION"??!! It is a scary thing to look at, but it DOES get better, and its only for a short time....it goes something like this

Brkfst- 1oz cheese (do YOU know how large 1 oz is??)
1 HALF a SMALL Orange!! (Really people?? I cant just have the whole darned thing?? I think its about 40 calories!!)
1 piece of LITE bread--45 calories

Lunch and dinner arent MUCH better...definitely controlled portions, and let me tell you , you will be SO SICK of salad.....8 oz of lettuce is a REALLY BIG BOWL!!!! and with no RANCH!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though....
I understand how expensive the program is, and that its just not in some peoples budgets, especially in these times... I am therefore leaving you all with my "junk" email account.....I might just be willing to help some of you out... Unless i get TOO overloaded with requests.. I AM supposed to actually WORK at work, ya know?

i had the menus from a friend and didn't know where to get the drinks and it didn't work very well w/o them. i also wasn't doing the flax but olive oil instead and it wasn't working as well either. signing up was the best thing i cld have done and i'm glad i did even though i'm not making goal before i hit stabilization because i'm out of cash. i've got this one last push to get that paid for and then i'm done until income tax next year maybe. I didn't think about asking someone here for the stabilization menus! *rolling my eyes* so program ends the 19th and I'll start stabilization the next week! wish me luck!

Well I had wanted copies of MRC menus yesterday, but my doctor finally approved the diet today - without the supplements.

Thanks,

Martha
