Sherry, you won't be able to do that until you've been posting for awhile - I can't remember whether it's 30 posts or 30 days, some of the newer folks will know & can tell you. They didn't have that restriction when I started, I think it's to discourage spamming and drive-bys.

Thanks for the tip about Starbucks. Sometimes I feel like I miss out on all the fun life has to offer because my diet is so restricted.

No, I wish I could take credit for that photo. It has just always made me laugh. I'm looking forward to the day I switch the photo over to a sleek little kitty.
Your last comment worries me a little. Not to read to much into it, but I want to encourage you not to think that way. You can't rely on food for your fun. And instead of feeling denied, try to feel empowered. YOU are in charge of what you are eating. YOU are the one making the healthy choice for yourself. Let everyone else eat crappy food that's going to make them fat. YOU don't need a cupcake to be the life of the party!
You go, girl!

Hey now...there's a lot more fun in life than food. Food is fuel - we've gotta have it to live, but we don't have to let it be our entertainment or our friend or our main focus in life. Time to start trying to think of it as fuel, pure and simple.
Besides, remember my sig line... If you think a weight loss program is too restrictive, stop and consider how restrictive it is to be overweight.

Im on day 6.. After I did my pre-conditioning they started me off on the Green menu... But everyone else in the class had the Yellow I think.. Is this going to affect my weight loss any? Im still not sure what the different colors mean. And will I be changing to the other menus after a certain time? Thanks! This is so much stuff to keep up with.

LOL - consider yourself lucky! The yellow & blue menus are the first 10 days, and the toughest - once you get to green it's a (relative) breeze! Not sure why they started you on green - I could speculate but it would be pure speculation. Just enjoy your good fortune.

No problem - by the way, you'll be on the green menu until you start stabilization and start adding foods back in.

What do the different menus mean? A friend and I started on the Metaslim Plus Level 2, but I have other friends who started with yellow. Will I have to revert back to the yellow one day??

I have had the same questions, too, but haven't heard anything back yet. I started on the green menu. I am in my late 40's, am very healthy (other than overweight), and had 50 pounds to lose. But my friend, who had much less to lose than I did and she works out at a gym constantly, started on a different colored menu when she started the program earlier this fall. She is now on the green menu. All I know about the green menu is that you will be on it until you reach your goal weight.
Other colored menus are determined by your health, I believe.

The beige menu is for people who start at or under 250 lbs. You get changed to the green menu at or around 200 lbs. The yellow and blue menus are the ones you start on if you begin the diet under 200 lbs. There are a few other colors for those above 250 lbs. but I'm not sure of the colors. Everyone stays on the green menu until you reach your goal. I think they can adjust or change the menus depending on other things also. I have a friend who only has 1 kidney and they put her on a totally different diet. Hope that all makes sense. Good luck!

noob question....
do you have to mix the drinks immediately before you drink them or can you mix one the night before to take with you for breakfast on the road? i'm TERRIBLE about my mornings. i intend to take boiled eggs for breakfast and i've already weighed out and cut my cheese into portion size and wrapped each one in foil so i can grab and go. if i can drink half a bottle of water and use the other half to mix my drink for the next morning that'll be motivation to get another 8 oz's in every night... will it store that long???

Timing Question
I have a quick question... does it matter when we eat our food? A couple of times, I've forgotten to eat my fruit at lunch. Is is okay that I had it after dinner, or does that mess everything up?
Thanks for the help...

Yes, I think it is very important to eat things when they tell you. I know that some of the menus have you eat fruit in the morning and some at lunch, but I don't know of any that let you eat it at night. From what I understand, your metabolism responds to the different food combos that they give you.
Hope that helps!

My center told me I can make the drinks ahead up to 72 hours in advance. Not sure what happens to it after 72 hours unless it somehow loses some of it's nutrients.
