Ok, here I go.....

I am having some issue with pictures. I really really want to post mine here and I will, tonight. Here is what I'd like to discuss. I have my before pictures from MRC. I have a picture taken at 70lbs lost, and I had my husband take one last night at 90lbs lost. I am feeling good, when I look at myself I feel like "yeah, I'm doing this" BUT then... I look at the picture and I don't see the difference. I'm really bothered by this. Come on, 90lbs! I should see a big difference, but when I look at those pictures I just feel so HUGE still. And, I'm not living in some fantasy land. I know I have some way to go, and I'm feeling really positive about it. Don't get me wrong, I don't want anyone to think I'm sitting here, having a pity party or crying in my soup or anything... I'm just totally bothered! What is everyone's thoughts. When you look in pictures, do you still see the old person still?

I still see the same ol' me when I look in the mirror, even though people around me tell me that I look totally different. I bet if you post the pics, we would be able to tell a difference.

Namaste - post the pics. I know we will all see the big progress! When losing weight it is so psychological! I know.....I am almost to goal and still I am making excuses why I can't go to the pool with the boys. I haven't bought new clothes because I just don't believe this is the new me. I had a nightmare the other night that over my 3 week vacation back home I gained all the weight back and came back home to a scale that read 301#. OK enough about me. I just want you to know that you are not alone.

Have you watched the Style TV show How to Look Good Naked? They do this thing were you take what you see as your worst feature, lets say your waist. They measure you and show you a line of women in their unders and ask you to place yourself between the 2 woman that you believe your waist measurement is between in size. All the ladies are way off. They always guess way too big. It how you percieve yourself! If you can break that "odd eye" (as my son calls it) you will see you are beautiful!!!

Thank you so much for your other post (about the enhancer and the donuts comment). I truly appreciate it and I agree, it's hard to see things as humorous when you're already down, esp when it's not perceived as being helpful. No sense in beating that dead horse. I will look for that thermagenic. I do want to try something new. I thought about the metaquik just to get a jump start but each time I start I give it up. I'm just in a funk and it's a downward spiral that's hard to climb out of.

I understand what you mean when you talk about your pictures. I know you have more to lose than me, but @ 20 lbs I know I look different as people tell me so and my clothes fit WAY better, but I look @ myself and still see rolls of fat and feel like I look the same. Hang in there and try to picture the thinner you that everyone else is seeing. Please post a pic b/c you KNOW we'll tell you how great you look!

WorkingARMom: I am sorry you're having a hard time right now. I know you will get back on track soon. We all go through it.

LosingWeightNow: I pray for your full recovery very soon.

AngieRue: That 301b board is yours woman!

Rocki: Keep your head up! You have come very far and will go even further. I hope the enhancers help you out. I'm thinking of getting the hoodia(though I've been saying it forever now).

Sheldon: 5 pounds is AWESOME!!!

Congrats to all losers in case I missed anyone.

ON my WI today, I was up 1/2 pound. That was kind of disappointing since my home scale was down. The time of day really does play a role. During the week, I wi around 1:30 due to my job. On saturdays it's very early, like around 9:30 or 10:00. I know TOM had some say so in it to. We'll see what Saturday brings. Happy WI everyone.

I totally get what you are saying. I have dreams too. It's amazing how damaging out subconcious can be. I also have dreams that I've eaten off plan and am just beating myself up over it.... then I wake up and am like "I can't believe I really ate a big mac, with fries and ranch... blah blah" then... I go "wait a minute! I didn't! WHOA! I didn't!" It's actually really refreshing when that happens! In terms of the pool. I bought a bike just a few weeks ago, and rode with my son. I felt so wonderful, just great. Then, last night when I saw that pic, I thought oh my gosh.... what am I doing riding a bike. I'm sure people are totally thinking what is that fat #$%@ doing riding a bike. However! I will not allow my or my son's enjoyment and this "freedom" to be taken away just because of this self sabotaging negative self talk. I don't understand where it comes from or why we have it, but I'm here to figure it out, with all of you.

I have watched "how to look good naked" and it's so inspiring. I need to record it so I can start watching it again. The one I remember was this woman said she didn't like her arm flab and Carson said ok, well do you walk around with your arms up all day? It puts things in perspective.

Thank you for listening!

I am laughing because I take my kids to school everyday, and wear my pajamas as well!!! A friend of mine can't believe it - she fears I will be pulled over, or in an accident and there I will be; in my jammies, no bra, funky slippers, bed hair... Never thought about the gas thing!!

Go back to bed and start all over! Today will get better - and at least the kids are at school, right??
Awake now and in a much better mood, lol. yes the kids got to school alright, the car ran out of gas after I dropped them off. This is the second time in my life I have run out of gas, oh well

I know it's difficult when you are feeling defeated to see anything as humorous, but we all have our own ways of trying to pull ourselves and others up.

Keep your head up!
I was going to say the same thing, but you said it better. It's so hard to "hear" tone from reading posts - I'm sure in his head Donuts had a teasing, joshing tone (hence the wink at the end of his post) - but it just didn't translate from his head to yours, especially since you're struggling. I'm sure Donuts will be horrified to realize that what he meant as a light-hearted reminder came across as something entirely different to you.

Of course, there's truth in what he said - and I'm living proof that all the hoodia & MRC6 & HNS in the world won't get the weight off if you're not eating right the vast majority of the time while you're taking them. Maintaining, maybe, but I've been up & down these same few lbs for a long time now because I haven't gotten back to that darned basic green menu. (I'm maintaining, just not maintaining where I want to be )

On a side note, wow, they've really changed the MRC website - I can't remember what the enhancers do (since I never used them) but there used to be a list of all the vitamins, etc & it's not there anymore - overall, tho, the site is much better.

Hang in there Rocki - you can do this!!!

Oh, you're welcome but you don't have to thank me. We are all here for each other.... that's it.

I think the phentraslim was around $50 or $60 and it was a nice change. I actually hope they start carrying it in the center.

Right! My clothes fit so much better... I'm going down sizes... I feel better... but then! BAM! Hit out of left field with those pics!

Congrats on the 5 lbs!! Thats an awesome start!!

No, the brand I use has zero sodium. It is "Williams Original chili seasoning" in a black and silver package, it says on the front no salt added, I think I get it at Walmart, possibly United. Have you looked at Superwalmart for bison? It is in a tiny little section. Mine only has like 3 packs of ground bison and 3 steaks out at a time, on the top shelf of the meat market near the beef, its really hard to see if your not looking for it.
Ground turkey is allowed they told me if it says white or breast meat on the label, I just don't care for it much as a replacement for beef (seems too chewy) but if you like it then you would probably like it in chili.

I took a pound of buffalo and browned it, then just to be sure I rinsed it in hot water and drained it to get every bit of fat out I could just in case (if you don't season it yet then rinsing it will not wash away any flavor just fat. Then I threw it back in the pan and added about 3/4 pack of chili seasoning. I took a can of petite diced tomatoes (didn't have any fresh) and rinsed them very well as well to get off all the sodium I could then poured it in the pan, I added a little chopped green onion then I added around 1 cup of water, little sea salt, and let it simmer to reduce some of the water since I didn't add any thickner or sauce. While that was simmering I steamed some cauliflower in a bag until it was VERY soft, then gave it a squirt with ICBINB and chopped it up pretty good. I put the cauliflower in a bowl and topped it with the chili (made sure to get some of the juice to coat all the cauliflower) then a little bit of cheese on top. Ate it with a spoon. It was awesome!! I have missed that taste so much and using the cauliflower it reminded me of when I would have a baked potato and top it with chili (major chili lover). I am very full and it was so good. I have enough for almost 2 more servings. Think tomorrow I may throw in some pinto beans for supper. This will become a weekly meal now. I'll post this in recipes also. Yummo!!
3mm~ Just wanted to let you know: I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE A PART OF THIS ONLINE GROUP!!! Spicing up our MRC menus really helps with the staying power, not to mention getting over plateaus. I've been thinking of adding chili to my diet lately. Thanks so much for posting this awesome chili recipe.
I think you should name it something like "3MM's Awesome Chili".
