I am allowed 6 oz of protein, the chili is like 95 % meat so I just measure out 6 oz, I may go a little less if I put a little cheese on top.

Congrats on the size. That always is a great feeling when your regular stuff won't fit and when you go shopping and have to buy a smaller size. WHOO HOO!

You go girl! That is simply awesome. I am sure your son will be as proud of you as you will be of him. It helps to have that inspiration doesn't it? I want to look good at my daughter's wedding in June...pictures and all. I am so happy for you!

Graduatethin: Awesome story! Your son is already proud of you I'm sure. He has a great mom! I haven't seen a size six since high school or maybe college.

ShineON ShineON ShineON, my good ol' online buddy! I had such a good laugh when I read your husband caught you eating off plan, and asked you, "what would Donuts think?". All you have to do in the future to stop this cycle of self-sabotage, is remember WWDD (What Would Donuts Do)

BTW, your avatar pic is wonderfully the most beautiful and thinner you. You've come a long way baby! Click on my avatar to see the new larger versions of my before and after pics. Glad to hear you are back in the pink. Stay in the zone! You have been one of the most influential people on my weight loss journey. I still drink Goji juice every day. Thanks for always being there for me. Hope someday I will be able to meet you and your family.
Ohhhh, how sweet. My DH got a good belly laugh out of the WWDD! Thanks for enlarging those before and after pictures. WOW! That is really dramatic! You don't even look like the same person and where did that blonde hair come from? Are you hitting the bottle of hair dye that is! I'm sure it's from all that Colorado sun you're soaking up. Anytime you're near Omaha, you always have a place to call home! I'm a little jealous, they made me give up my Goji juice at the center. Now that I'm close enough to goal weight, I'm going to start adding it back in. It really does stablize your blood sugar as well as a lot of other health benefits. I think they made me cut it out because I was having problems losing fast in the beginning, and they just didn't understand what it was. I have two bottle in my pantry just calling out to me. Have you heard about the new GoChi? It's the next generation of goji juice. Well, I hadn't signed on since the 22nd and we're already 28 pages into a new thread!! I'll try to catch up. Did wi on Thursday and was down 4 lbs - that puts me right back at the 187.5 that I was at 2 weeks ago. Back in the right direction!!

Wow!! That is amazing, how very cool...

The only size 6 I remember is a size 6X in first grade... LOL.

Now if I could just get firmly back OP. I had a great OP day and then I ate in the night. Woke up this morning and thought, was it a dream? but there was the empty dish beside my bed. Sigh.

Default tomatoes

I know that various centers use different "rules", but I was curious about the tomatoes in cooking. We are told repeatedly that we cannot use canned tomatoes, nor can we cook fresh ones (because they convert to sugar when cooked, being a fruit -- it had nothing to do with the sodium, only the sugar). For chili, we were told we could use fresh tomatoes, and add them when the chili was done cooking -- like a topping.. (Same with the beans, also converting to sugar.)

We've been told a lot of things it seems others aren't ... for example, only drinking the fiberfill drinks with a meal, because the fiber has nothing to "attach" to if you drink them alone. I asked about that because I thought the purpose was to "fill you up" when hungry, and every consultant says the same thing.

Now because everyone is having success (regardless of the center you go to), it just makes me think, that we can all "tweak" our program a little without having it stall our weight loss. I know I have done that with caffeine. I only drink decaf coffee, but still have my diet Mt. Dew.

I don't take any supplements (just the stuff I took before the program -- vitamin, calcium, MSM, fish oil). And I notice no difference, and save a TON of money.

Just curious about the things that we are taught depending on the center you go to.

I don't cook my tomatoes at all. I only use raw tomatoes and use them as a topping, after. When I started the program however, I did use them in cooking and never have really noticed a difference in terms of having a slow weight loss week due to it, etc.... the reason I was using them was because I just didn't know at the time. Since I was told, I stopped. I just figured that if there was a chance it could cause an issue, I wasn't going to do it. I heard the same thing... that during the cooking process, they would convert to sugar. With beans, however... I've always cooked with them, and have never heard anything different. The only thing I was told was that if you had to use canned beans in cooking, to rinse them thoroughly before using them to get rid of the sodium. But again, I cook with them in my recipes all the time.

I was never told that about the tomatoes. That is interesting. I did notice on the box of tomatoes I bought from Walmart, there is very little sugar listed on the breakdown. Thanks for the info.

I use the fat free light non dairy creamora in my coffee, since the beginning, and haven't seen any negative results because of it. I would say that what you are doing is fine. I told my center in the beginning, that I could not give up cream of some sort in my coffee, and I wasn't paying $17 for a 6 pack of their premades every week! She told me that if I chose to do if for pre conditioning week that it was fine, but after that, if I showed any negative loss due to it, then I would have to stop (I am sure they documented my folder, so my contract is null if I didn't lose my allotted schedule of weight, but I have, and now I am on my free weeks that I earned from games and contests-I may not even need to resign if I hit my goal by the end of May).
Needless to say, what works for some may not work for others.
