I am so thrilled for Angierue and Ms.Teacher on their success. Way to go, and congrats to the rest of you who lost weight.
OK, so my day was not the greatest. My WI stayed the same -- no loss, no gain (guess that is still a good thing). But that means I'm only down a total of 1.5 lbs for the last 4 WIs, which averages less than a pound a week. I did better than that on WW and it was a heck of a lot cheaper.
I did get some guidance on the lunch meeting issues. The MRC counselor said not to sweat it, just try to eat some veggies and fruit before them, and agreed with 3MMs suggestion of string cheese. If I don't get the veggies and protein in, I shouldn't get shook about it.

I understood exactly what you were saying. I surely didn't take it that way.

My body and mind has come a long way, and still has a long way to go, in understanding rules and boundaries of food. I didn't get to 275 pounds eating chicken and apples! I know I had/have a food problem. Actually eating chicken and fish and all the other healthy foods that I have been eating now, is something that I can do for the rest of my life, I needed MRC to show me that. If I would have continued to eat the way that I used to (ice cream at 11pm, cookies by the handful, unlimited trips to the buffet, fast food ,etc etc) I would have been leading myself into a horrible fate of poor health at a young age, and who knows if I would be around long enough to enjoy becoming old with my wonderful husband or see my kids grow into adults and make their own dreams. I can only tell you what works for me.
As I said before, we are all different, we all can handle things in a different way. I thought we were supposed to be able to share our stories here, and not be judged by how we do things. In no way did I implicate that anyone was doing something wrong or damaging to themselves, I just told you about me.

I'm not sure who's being referred to in any of these posts about not cheating, but I also wanted to reiterate that I was speaking from my own personal experience as well. Everyone is different and we all handle things differently as well. I think I said that in my post about it earlier. I know I CAN'T cheat anymore b/c it leads me down a bad road, but that doesn't mean others can't handle it. Just my extra 2 cents.

It won't hurt or effect you going off Hoodia suddenly. I used Hoodia for the first part of my weight loss then decided to try it without. I didn't suffer any ill effects. You may find you are at a point where the need for Hoodia isn't as great as in the beginning of your weight loss.
BTW, congrats on signing the 55 pound board!!!

Just got back from WI, down 1 lb. but totally expected that after my "party" night. I confessed my long island ice tea endevor and reassured them that I very rarely drink (which is true). I got the peach mango HNS to try, all they had was the concentrate. I'm not loving it, its ok, but it doesn't have very much flavor, oh well I'll still drink them. I also got the cappacino to try. I have only tried the cocoa creamy but I don't have one everyday like I did in the beginning. I usually mix instant decaff in it and thought I would try cappacino for a change, hope its good! I am going to really really try to get in more water this week, I have been slacking in that department. I hate water, but that will be my little goal for this week.

Congrats to all the losers....
I'm having a rough day today. Earlier this week, my boyfriend told me that he may be moving to Hawaii. I've been doing good all week OP, but tonight I had ZERO desire to cook and a MRB or shake just didn't sound appealling. So....I ate some organic, vegetarian chili...then one of those Uncrustable sandwiches that was left in the freezer. I suppose it could have been worse, but this is the farthest I've been off plan. I will get back in the saddle in the morning, but this possible move is harder than I thought it would be. We've been through a lot in the past 8 years and I guess the thought of not having him around is a bit more disturbing than I thought it would be. Anyway....just thought I would put this down in writing....maybe it will make things a little better getting it out in written form. I know I don't post often, but I try to keep up with reading all the posts and enjoy everyones thoughts and ideas. It helps to know that I have a place to go where there are plenty of folks on this journey with me.

I'm so sorry you're sad. Is his move temporary or permanent? Is there any way you could move with him? 8 years is a long time to be with someone. You kinda do get use to one another. There have been a few times I thought I wouldn't miss my hubby very much...but when I did some serious thinking, I realized how untrue that was. Things like this can be real eye openers for how our hearts really feel.

Congratulations on the loss! Hey lady, no matter how you look at it, that is a lb gone! Try not to focus on what is down the road with your contract at this point. You are doing great! We are all going to have some good weeks and some not so good! Perk up and look at your accomplishments, there are many more to come! In not so many words but Ditto to what Donuts said about increasing the intensity to your workouts! To cut down some of your expenses, what I have done is look at all the fabulous suggestions that have been put out there about all the different web sites. This is how I ordered my last batch of HNS. You can find the Hoodia/Flax Oil/ and even something that is almost identical to MRC6 that is much more cost effective! As for vitamins, I buy my own (ONEADAY Womens)! That being said, I take the MRC6, Flax Oil, Hoodia, and my vitamin in addition to doing the HNS's. It is taking some time to get my HNS though, so for replacement, I am using Meemos home brew which was not too costly!

I think the suggestion to make a list was an excellent one, maybe it will help you stay focused on your goals and why you chose to do the program! Try and figure out what tempts you to indulge and then work on ways to eliminate them if at all possible. You can do this! We are all in your cheering section!

I am sorry to hear your situation! I hope this does not sound crass but I truely do believe that all things that happen in our lives, has a reasone for which we may never know. Things will work itself out, just give it some time - hey try and find an upside to things! May be an adventure! Granted you are going through some mixed emotions right now, try to not let your emotions get the best of you! You can do this, focus on your goal for a healthier, happier you! Worse case scenario, plane for that sexy bikini if the need should arise!

Rocki:I for some reason have a hard time sleeping through the night myself! That is why I try and find healthy alternatives to help me relax. It seems that my brain won't allow my body to slow down (take a break) and or I am up 3-4 times a night to go pee (sorry if TMI)! This was the same even before I started MRC so I know its not the river I drink during the day! I used to take Tylenol PM which helped, after taking for some time - it became a bit difficult to get up in the morn (still felt groggy). The sleepy time team (for me) the aroma is soothing, it has a good taste (use a little spleanda) and does make me feel a bit more relaxed and I rest better (not as many trips during the night for a waterfall)! LOL Its not the regular sleepytime tea, it is the sleepytime extra (wellness tea)! This one has Valerian in it! Here is a little info. that I found:
Valerian has been used as a medicinal herb since at least the time of ancient Greece and Rome. Its therapeutic uses were described by Hippocrates, and in the 2nd century, Galen prescribed valerian for insomnia. In the 16th century, it was used to treat nervousness, trembling, headaches, and heart palpitations. In the mid-19th century, valerian was considered a stimulant that caused some of the same complaints it is thought to treat and was generally held in low esteem as a medicinal herb. During World War II, it was used in England to relieve the stress of air raids.
In addition to sleep disorders, valerian has been used for gastrointestinal spasms and distress, epileptic seizures, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. However, scientific evidence is not sufficient to support the use of valerian for these conditions.

Angie Congradulations on signing the 30lb board. yes I notice you lived in Midland. I also know Tara at the MRC there in Midland that girl has helped me alot she was at our center here in Odessa when I started on MRC. She is the best. She has helped me through a rough platuea. and I haven't been over to Midland since the first of March. I try to get over there every month just to talk to her and get advice.
Just ask her about Melanie from odessa ( thats me).
Oh another note I feel alot better today than I did 2 days ago. I went to weigh in last night which I never do at night and I was up 2lbs I don't like to weigh in at night at all. But I had already drinked 4 32 oz of water yesterday because it is so warm here.
Today I went and got my hair done and that made me feel good my hairdresser couldn't believe how much weight I had lost.
Donut you are totally awesome. I haven't done much exercise since I started this diet. I am so afraid I will go into starvation mode. Know sounds silly. but in the past I would walk 3 to 5 miles a day and then i would quit and gain all of my weight back.
Also I have a lot of loose skin to but I am 51 So I don't worry to much about it I rather have the loose skin than all of the fat. I had got where I couldn't stand to look at my self in the mirror.
Redgirl don't worry about just a 1lb loss i have done that alot but then i would have a 2 to 4lb loss the next week'
Also congradulations on all of you that lost weight this week
