I noticed you are from Savannah. I am from Statesboro so I go to the "satellite" center there. They come once a week for us to weigh and buy. Good to see someone from my neck of the woods.
Congrats on your wi. I know you feel good! :

Ok everybody, I had my first (in about 10 years) skinny girl experience! When I was flying back to denver after visiting my mom in the hospital in Shreveport, A REALLY CUTE GUY TRIED TO PICK ME UP!! At first I was like "why is he talking so much", but when the plane landed in Dallas and he asked to buy me a drink I finally got it! Now, I don't think I'll email him even though he gave me his address, but I was totally blown away. That was totally cool.

Mommato3...
I saw you over on the PCOS board. Just wanted to encourage you in the fact that this diet has been amazing for me! I've always struggled on other plans to lose (due to the IR) but I have lost almost 30 pounds in 6 weeks on MRC. Wanted you to know it can be done!! Keep it up - you are doing GREAT!

Okay, just got back from my second wi and I was only down 1 lb. I got to feeling pretty depressed about that, but then I looked at the numbers again. This is my ninth day on the program and I am down a total of 7 lbs!!!! That number sounds much better! So, I am trying to stay positive. My goal for next week was to be down a total of 10 lbs. I think I can do that. Then, after wi, my DH calls to tell me we are meeting his parents for dinner at Rosa's. I completely freaked--I am trying to stay on plan, for goodness sake. I called my center and they told me what I could eat and still stay op! Thank goodness for cell phones and MRC!!!!
MSTeacher-I posted a message for you on the PCOS board! It is great to see someone else in the same "boat!" Thanks for the encouragement!!

I looked these up online and they look great. I talked to my center about them tonight. They said that it was fine if I wanted to use them HOWEVER, if I used them instead of their supplements, they would not be able to guarantee the 3-5 lb. weight loss. Now, are they just telling me this because they want me to buy theirs, or are there differences in the products that I am not noticing? If they offered more aspertame free options, I would be happy to purchase their products.

cargirl: That must have felt REALLY good!
mommato3: I think they are referring to the contract...I would compare the two and if they are basically the same I would go for it. If you haven't gone off plan though or strayed from the contract in any way, I would wait because of the "guarantee".

I found this really interesting: I checked the mydietshopz.com website to check the nutrition facts of their supplements versus the MRC supplements. I had purchased a box of Lemon Chiffon Instant Pudding by MRC and I compared it to the websites Lemon Chiffon Instant Pudding. They are EXACTLY the same, right down to the picture on the box. Hmmm.....

First off, welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time. And secondly... CONFREAKINGRATS! That is awesome that you lose 5 lbs on the cruise! Most people GAIN 5 lbs on a cruise. That's just about unheard of.

I love hearing that! I am a PCOS'er too but because I'm not looking to get pregnant anytime soon, I haven't really checked out that part of this message board.

You will totally sign that 10 lb next week, I just know it! You have GOT to tell me what they suggested you eat at Rosa's. I might have to swing by there if I'm in a situation like I was last night (see blog). I also have to second your "thank goodness for MRC" line. I was on with my mentor/counselor/whateveryouwanttocallthem last night trying to find something after my class. I was even texting her to see what I could possibly have out of a vending machine earlier.

mommato - Ok - so, question - is it just the HNS that one has to purchase under the contract? (So you are saying, you could purchase these others from this other place?)
I notice others here from Colorado - anyone else near the Westminster center?

I changed my avatar - I decided to put up a picture of myself from 1990 and to visualize myself as I was then... it was a very happy, fairly thin time of my life!

I go to the Westminster center! I try to go either on Monday and Thursday, or on Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons.... how do you like the center? I only really like one of the girls there...the other ones seem a bit condescending sometimes...
Cargirl what a cool "skinny" girl feeling! thanks for sharing your story with us!

It's the same with the HNS drinks I get from bodyandhealthessentials.com. Except for the wildberry, which is not the same with them or with the mydietshopz.com site. Obviously it's one company making the stuff for different diet companies, which is fine. And of course MRC wants you to buy theirs - that's why they're in business, to make money! Had I known about a cheaper source, tho, I'd probably have bought a lot more from that cheaper source when my contract was still active with MRC.

cargirl, isn't it funny that the smaller you get the more visible you get? I have noticed myself how people treat me as a skinnier person vs an obese person. I saw a documentary a while back on obesity that stated that obese people are largely ingored. It showed a thin person dressed in a fat suit going to people and asking questions. Then it showed the same person without the fat suit going to people and asking questions. Heavier people are definely discriminated against. What an eye opener.
Congrats on being so close to goal!
