I tried my first powdered meal replacement and it was aweful! I love chocolate and that is the flavor I have but it was way too thick even with extra water... any suggestions on making it tastier?

I tried making it the first time in a Tupperware Shaker with just ice and it was nasty! All clumpy and just ick is all I can say. I take about 18-20 oz. of water and the shake and put it in the blender. Mix that really well and then I add in some ice and voila! I also put mine in the freezer about 2 hours before I know I want to eat it and it's even better. Hope this helps!

This week my favorite vegetable recipe is. Fresh home grown tomatoes with a little bit of splenda sprinkled on top. Couldn't be much easier

Mock Banana Bread

1/4 cup Oatmeal
1 Vanilla Cream Pudding HNS
1T (or 2 packets) Splenda
1 dash Cinnamon
1 egg
1 t Vanilla Extract
1 t Banana Extract
1/2 t Xanthum Gum (this is optional but makes it more bread like)

Put all ingredients together and blend really well. I like to put in the Magic Bullet. You can make this in the smallest bread pan and eat 1/2 or make it into mini muffins. Bake in preheated oven 350 F for 35 min (muffins about 20-25 min)

This is 2 servings because of the amount of oatmeal. It counts for all of your bread. 2 oz of your protein. So if you are having it for breakfast add protein as a side. It is also 1/2 of your creamy HNS for the day.

Default French Toast

French Toast:

1 piece of light bread
1 egg
cinnamon
sugar free/fat free/calorie free waldens farm syrup

Whisk one egg in a bowl. Add 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and whisk again. Place bread in egg mixture, turn after 1 minute, allow bread to absorb as much egg mixture as possible. Spray skillet with Pam butter spray and place over med-high heat. Slide bread into pan and sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired. Cook on each side until deep golden brown or to personal preference. Serve with 1 tsp or 2 of SF/FF/CF syrup. Yummo! Add a boiled or scrambled egg to your meal to get the complete protein serving.

Tomato Basil Salad
(modified the version my center put out for 4th of July)

4 oz cherry or grape tomatos cut in half
4 oz cucumber cut in small bites
2 tsp olive oil
3/4 tsp cider vinegar
Mrs Dash tomato basil garlic blend
Italian seasoning mix (mine is the kroger store brand)
Black pepper
squirt of lemon
Mix together and let it marinate for a little while. You can double the veggies and adjust the other ingredients to make a double batch for a second serving at dinner. Just don't double the olive oil since it is limited. Or you could poke a hole in the flax oil caps and squirt it out on the salad to extend the oil portion

love to do this with cut up mozzarella sticks or diced chicken.
