Default I think I have fallen in love...

...with my new scales.

My old scales have been giving me weird readings recently, showing different weights when I step on them. They are 8 years old and have been getting some heavy use during my journey.

My new scales arrived today and while showing a consistent weight, I have lost three pounds compared to the old scales! These pics were taken seconds apart:

Mine has been named Baby.

As in "Yeah Baby!" and "Oh come on baby!"

Yes, it is one of those. It was the number one on Amazon and I can see why. The consistency is great. And no more zeroing as long as you do not move it. I travel a lot, so I also bought a mini-traveling scale. That has not arrived yet but it will really help me. Without the scale I would be so lost.

I want to buy weightloss on Amazon!!

Just kidding!! There was a woman on here that posted a while back who bought a new scale and her true weight was like 10lbs higher than her old scale said. I was so heartbroken for her. I would have thrown the new scale out and just kept the old.

My doctor's scale is actually lower than my home scale, can I tell you that's a first?!?!!?

For me, it's more about the consistency than the measurement. The problem with my old scale was that it was giving me different results each time I was stepping on it so I did not know whether my weight had gone up or down.

It was just a bonus that the new scale reported I had gone down but what is more important is that I can trust the trend as it reports my weight the same if I step on it more than once.

I get a lot of motivation from downward movements in my weight, no matter how small (or BIG ).

I only trust the real doctors type scale we have at work.

Last week I had a doctor's appointment and it wasn't an electronic scale, it's the ones with the bar and the girls have to keep pushing the little block up, up, up (or at least they used to!).

I just thought to myself, the next time I go they won't be starting at the 200 and moving up!! HAPPY DAY!!!

Until recently those scales wouldn't measure me because they go upto 350.

Joe, you are rocking the weightloss!! I know I told you that recently but there is no reason not to tell you again!!

When the girl at the doc's went to type in my weight, she must have seen the previous 328+/- and she looked at the scale, looked at her laptop, looked at me and then another round again. She said "Did you lose some weight?" and I practically squealed "I lost a lot of weight!!!".

I'm gonna tell them "no" Elvis if they ask me the same question. I am gonna say it's the scales that were wrong and they should have changed them long ago and there was never a problem with my weight and the nurses can't take it properly anyway and everyone in the doctors' office should be fired and that they used to make me feel bad for saying I was 281lbs when I was clearly not.
