Default Eating slower, lose weight?

I was just reading a story on CNN dot com about this new fork that vibrates if you eat more than a bite every 10 seconds. Apparently to slow down your eating. Because "the brain needs 20 minutes before it knows the stomach is full". What a load of hogwash. Why do they keep perpetuating this myth? It's just not true. And the fork? How about $99 !!
This is about the dumbest invention since the weight loss sunglasses. You were supposed to wear them while eating, and the funky hue you were seeing through made food unappealing and you would lose weight. I'm sure the inventor of that laughed all the way to the bank.
Hope everyone is having a good week...

I do think you need to eat slower to know when you are full, but if you are eating the right portion sizes (as most people tyring to lose weight are) this invention is pointless.

However, the not-trying me would easily overeat and end up with that stuffed full sick feeling. But it doesn't take rocket science or a $99 vibrating fork to fix that problem.

Yup, me too. I could easily consume hundreds of calories in a very short amount of time while I stuff my gullet. But no fork is going to fix that!

How silly. This may sound a bit snobby but other than buy some over-priced spork you could just pay attention to your body and know when it is saying "I am done."

I really dislike people who will "invent" something to take advantage of a population in such dire-straights that they will consume (no pun) anything you throw at them to help fix their problem.
