What do men like for valentines?
 

Hi! I'm a chick please don't boot me because I need a man's opinion!! Please!! Ok, so what do men like getting for valentine's day? Are flowers out of the question? My guy is a systems engineer and is a geek. (he wears his geek title proudly!) any suggestions fellows? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not a guy but have you looked at ThinkGeek.com? Lots of fun, geeky gifts there.

I think it depends on the guy. My hubby would probably want a head to toe massage, the best wine I could find and some (insert word here).

Ha ha! Mine wanted a dress shirt from Brooks Brothers. And we have dinner reservations.

I'll drop a hint to DW that I want a Temperature Gun (Amazon link)

Point it at anything and immediately know its temp. How cool is that?

My best friend's dad has one and loves it! He uses it for his t-shirt printing company.

My husband would LOVE one of those. He wouldn't use it for anything important, just as a toy, and I'm not sure it's worth the cost for that. Then again, how often do you get something just for fun? I may have to consider it... thanks for the idea!

Ok, so I read this and felt like I had to share the website I purchased my boyfriends present.. it isnt spam, but I looked all over the web for days trying to get ideas and couldnt find anything. Then I was watching some late night chat show when I couldnt sleep and found this book. I was able to completely design it front to back. I had to pay extra to get it here before V-Day but I think it will really be worth it.

give it a look, personally it made my day haha. even if you dont use it for that, once I started using the program I realized its so simple and could be used for anyone, anytime.

Would you please quit trying to be me, Bill. You haven't ever driven a 100 ton haul truck so you don't need to be able to keep track of the tire temps from the deck. Maybe someday when they reinstate your man card, I'll let you come play on some real life, manly heavy equipment. OK??? :p

I think a gift card for clothes... would be a great gift..cause we are all going to need them and it says.. "hey I know your going to get there..."

When my hubby worked night shifts, on February 13th, I slipped a folded heart-shaped paper doily into his pocket that just said "I love you." When he came home in the morning of the 14th (I was asleep), he found a trail of the same heart-shaped doilies leading from the doorway to the bedroom. All of the doilies had little descriptions of romantic memories written on them.

When he woke me up, he had tears in his eyes. One of our best valentines.


I still tend to hide valentines where he can find them, rather than handing them over (I haven't hidden today's so I'd better get cracking - he's making steak dinners so I should be able to find a good spot without him noticing).
