How do you food log?

  • What do you use to log your meals? Do you used the printed food journal that comes with the program? The iPhone (or other device) app? Something else???

I'm on day 14 today and I'm struggling with logging. I started out using the iPhone app - I love the app itself but it's lacking in a few areas - nowhere to log condiments, snacks, or drinks. I can't enter the time meals are eaten. In addition to the app I was blogging to keep track of all those details the app doesn't track. That was fine for the first week because I was on spring break; after 3 days back to work I've pretty much given up. Today I tried using the food log that comes with the program - I hate it! It's organized funky and is confusing.

Perhaps I'm becoming a tad bit OCD about following the program. If I knew how to write code I'd create my own app that meets my needs.

So how do you track your food?
  • You can log on the mymedifast website. It is a simple food logger with the meals, leans, and greens already in the database.

THANKS! I'd never been to the website before, it's much more thorough than the app version (they are linked to one another though).

I'm having problems in the "Other Foods" section - I can search for, and find foods, but I can't select them. I'm wondering if this is an iPad compatibility issue. Anyone else have this problem?
  • I use an app called Lose It. It works well and you can access it from your cell phone and computer.
