Post Anyone under 135Ib tried this diet? is it working?

I have been struggling with my weight for a long time and I wanna try MF diet.
Considering those success stories on their site, just wondering if there is anyone under 135Ib (as a starting weight) tried this diet? is it working?
BTW, is it okay to drink coffee when on this diet?
Thank you!

I am not really sure that this is the diet for someone who is your height and weight. I think when people are that close to their healthy weight the best thing to do at that point is try to add some muscle mass. Muscle burns more calories and is over all good for your body. Try cutting out any sugary drinks and drinking a lot of water, eating healthy and start strength training and see if that helps you.

Agreed with crazycatlady. You're in the middle of the weight range for healthy bmi at 5'5. This diet is very low calorie and when you're within a healthy bmi there is no need to cut calories to the extreme...In the long run cutting out sugar and excess carbs then doing strength training would give you the bod you're looking for. My brother is doing the KETO diet which is basically what medifast is but it teaches you how to eat better and gives you enough calories to do the workout necessary to build muscle. This is what I'll be doing when I hit healthy bmi and come off of medifast. That way I can tone....

google "keto diet"

MF guidelines are that you have at least 15 pounds of fat to lose to make you a good candidate for MF. The plan depends on burning available fat stores to account for the fact that you're only eating 800-1000 calories. If you don't have those fat stores your body will burn lean muscle instead. Obviously that is counterproductive.

I'm currently doing my medifast with a friend with your stats. She wanted to just lean out mostly. She did that very well and easily. She looks great. And she's about ready to get into the maintenance portion of medifast. I think this can work for you as long as you are also trying to lean out. If you are 100% compliant, you will be in the fat burning stage. IE burning fat and not lean muscle. Talk to a medifast nutrition specialist, they could give you more details. And yes, coffee is OK on medifast, but I believe no more than 1 cup a day and no sugary creamers :-) good luck!
