Just need to vent
I'm on 2 1/2 weeks and down 13 pds. Which is awesome...the most weight I've lost in years. That being said, I'm not giving up on the MF just wonder if the weight loss fluctuates. Lost 10 then 2 and this week 1. I find the diet pretty easy to follow and it keeps me from cheating.

This diet TOTALLY fluctuates. It makes me crazy, but stick with it and it will work!

Yep, it fluctuates. Some weeks I won't seem to lose anything, or at most 1-2 lbs. Then bingo, 2 lbs every other day the next week. I'm 5 1/2 months in and today was 50 lbs down from my start weight. Still have a ways to go, but the loss is consistent enough that I stick with it.

Yep, there's variation. You lose the most the first 2 weeks (see the sticky on ketosis).
I'm happy to lose more than a pound a week at this point, but I think Medifast's claim of 2-5 pounds a week is only true for 300+ pound men. I NEVER lost 5 pounds in a week, even my first week, and I only lost more than 4 pounds in a week TWICE in 15 1/2 months. I've also noticed that sodium affects me a lot on this diet. I eat so much less sodium on a daily basis, that 1 meal at a chain restaurant can put me up 2 pounds or more overnight. Hang in there - the great thing about this diet is that you almost always lose. |
ok...I have been sooooo busy that I have not even thought about posting. I am hanging in there with the plan but have had some off days and have paid the price for it!!!! But I realize I NEED to check in here for accountability and support! Just reading through the posts is very helpful. Tomorrow is another birthday party but I have my plan ready. :)
