Stay on plan and if you don't have a health coach, get one.
Great success to you!

Thank you for your reply. My starting date is going to be pushed back a day because of a blizzard we had but I'm excited to start

Very exciting! My Mom has been on Medifast since last fall and has lost a lot of weight and she loves it. Stick to plan and you will have great success.

Congratulations! My main advice: stay on plan. If you go off plan and eat carbs (thereby going out of fat-burning mode - ketosis) you'll really set yourself back. STAY ON PLAN!!!! It works, but you have to work it! Best wishes!

Good luck starting! I LOVE IT. I'm down 16 pounds so far in four weeks, but that's including three days way off plan (one in week 2, two in week three), which threw me out of the fat-burning stage and caused me to gain back 3 pounds. Then I had one of those "What the heck am I doing?" moments and decided to be strict with myself. Now I'm down 5 lbs since Wednesday
I agree with the above posters — you need to stay absolutely on plan (800-1000 calories, fewer than 100 carbs). If you do, it's a magical diet. Otherwise it ends up being very expensive food-like crap.

It's a great plan, and works if you stick with it!

Good luck!
I lost 9 lbs last month- last year TOTAL I lost 30 lbs so I'm VERY excited (I'm a slow loser).
I agree to stick to it- my number one tips are do NOT skimp on water- you should always have water near you to drink. 2- do NOT wait too long between meals- every 2-3 hours you should be eating! Eat within 2 hours of being up also. 3- if you get headaches the first few days take something! Do NOT suffer through the headaches. 4- have all the lists at hand to reference!

I just ordered my first month's kit and am SO looking forward to it!
I'm going to do the diabetic plan because I'm a type 1 diabetic (I know Medifast doesn't recommend it for type 1s but I'm self-managed with my insulin pump and know what I'm doing when it comes to my blood sugar).
Since January 1 I've been on a very strict low carb lifestyle (30 grams a day), which keeps my blood sugar perfect and has always allowed me to lose. But I guess the combination of years of yo-yo dieting, insulin and now menopause has finally wrecked my metabolism.
I walk 2.25 miles three times a week but will probably have to amp that up too.
I'm getting a new tattoo on my wrist, where I can see it easily, that reads simply: now. A good reminder for me to stay in the moment and make the right choices.
Anyway, wanted to hop in here since this seems to be the most recent post and I wanted to introduce myself!
Good luck to everyone!
Valerie

My first Medifast box came!!! I'm excited to start but the lean & green meals scare me a little. I feel so restricted with what I can and cannot cook with. You're limited to 3 condiments a day, how can I still make tasty meals?

I normally have a little bit more condoments for me it did not affect my weight so you will slowly know whats works for you for example I like to have some type of seasoning on my chicken and in the morning I'll have 3 splenda's in my coffee and it has not affected me. But for you follow the plan to a T until you know now what your body responds to?
