Default Using Meat alternatives, higher carbs, condequences?

I have a question... On the list of meatless alternatives it says that the meatless options tend to be higher carb so they "recommend" you consume lower carb veggies and medifast meals if you're going to use them... Has anybody had negative results consuming meatless options (like the veggie burgers) and still having bars, oatmeal, etc? And do you always have a lower carb veggie if you're consuming meatless options? I like to have the Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime veggie burgers but I like to have cauliflower with them, which is also higher carb... Won't weigh in until Sunday so I don't know for sure if it's going to be a problem.

Are you using the MyMedifast food journal? It's super helpful with keeping track of the carbs. One thing I've done is if I feel I went a little over on carbs in one area, I eat 1/2 c cottage cheese instead of a MF meal. The MF meals are about 13g protein and about 12-15g carbs, whereas the cottage cheese is 13g protein and 4g carbs. I don't do that a lot, because the MF meals help you get in all your fiber, but sometimes I have a little "emergency," lol.

I haven't used the Morningstar farms patties. I really like using the eggbeaters because it gives you SOOOO much volume, and it's a "leanest" option so you can add in some healthy fats too.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I hadn't seen the medifast journal but found it and entered everything in. I have another question though... Does it say anywhere what the minimum and maximum amounts of protein and carbs are that they want you to have? I just want to make sure I'm getting enough protein and not too man carbs based on exactly what I use for my Lean and Green. Mainly, what's the minimum daily protein and what's the maximum daily carbs?
