Default New - Any advice?

Very nervous about starting Medifast.

Rather than pick one of their set plans, I ordered everything a la carte.

Here's what I'm planning to eat...any advice would be great!

Thanks!

Morning - Shake
Snack - Cheese crisp
Lunch - Oatmeal
Snack - Soup
Dinner -
2 c. iceburg lettuce
1/2 c. cucumber
2 Gorton's tilapia filets (3 oz each)
2 tbs. newman's lighten up ceasar dressing
3 tbs. hot sauce

Snack - Crunch bar or pudding

If you haven't gotten your order yet, check out the quick start guide located on the medifast1 website. It's under the learning link at the top of the page.

If you are following the main plan (5-1; 5 Medifast meals and 1 Lean and Green) your menu looks good for the most part. I think your dinner looks good from here but you might want to verify that the dressing qualifies as 2 'fat servings'. On that learning page there is a link to to "Condiment Recommendations" which I highly recommend (Dressing should be about 5 grams of fat (no less!, and not much more) and under 6g of carbs). It 'should' be 7oz of fish, but I have the same problem of only getting 3oz fillets so I just make sure they are at least a full 3 oz, else I get a little extra (also depends on my total calories, etc, for the day).

Cheddar crisps are a snack and not a meal. If you are following 5-1, then that will need to be a meal meal.

My biggest suggestion would be to track everything you eat on the mymedifast website so you can make sure your nutrients are in the right range. Feel free to message me on the mymedifast website and I can send you a link on there a post from nutrition support regarding what your goal range is for calories, carbs, etc.

After a few days of tracking your food on the website, it's super easy to plan the day and get more comfortable with it.
