Default What's everyone doing to stay on plan this holiday?

I'm going hiking (with bars and mf pretzels, of course!) and catching up on my sleep! I am trying to figure out how to handle the various friend/family bbq's. i am going to bring salad and sneak a bar in my purse. And drink a shake before I go...

Let's share our ideas!

This year at our main get together, I am bringing the BBQ food.

So here is the menu:
The biggest most colorful tossed green salad ever with light dressing on the side.
Burgers, smoked sausage, hotdogs and chicken breast, prepared without added fats of course, and light or fat free option for the hot dogs and sausage, as well as very lean beef for the burgers. Regular and low fat cheese option for burgers as well.
Lots of raw vegies and dipping sauce made with ff Greek yogurt
Reduced fat deviled eggs. Whole grain rolls as an option.
Baked beans made from scratch without lots of fat or sugar, but still yummy good.(does have molasses and bacon rind for flavor)
Cauliflower "potato salad'.
Fresh melon.
Coleslaw, fat and sugar free, homemade.
Lime chiffon pie.(diet gourmet recipe, yummy)Sugar free frozen fruit popsicles, fudgesicles, dreamsicles.
Berries (blue, straw, rasberries) in summer cream (low-fat and oh so good)
Iced herb and regular tea, lemonade.
The indulgence, (for others not me) will be s'mores by the camp fire! The above will be feeding 45 of us for a Church camp clean-up day.

Bunti those re great ideas!
Also veggie bugers would work. Several frozen ones work on grills, just need to make sure by reading the label.

I got this recipe in an e-mail. I get so many from different place in this one e-mail address that I miss them. This was for the July 4th, but could work any other holiday or anyday.

---------------------------------------------
"TNT Burgers" - "Tasty Nutritious Turkey"
---------------------------------------------

* 1 lb (454 g) 99% nonfat ground turkey
*4 egg whites
* 1 cup (40 g crumbled shredded wheat or whole wt bread crumbs)
* 1/2 cup finely diced celery
* 1/2 cup finely diced onion
* 1 tbsp horseradish mustard (jack daniels brand - the SECRET ingredient!)
* 1 tbsp soy sauce
* 1 tsbp garlic powder
* 1 tbsp parsley flakes
* dash of pepper
* dash of sea salt (optional)

Makes 4 burgers

per burger: (not including bun):
189 calories
37.5 grams protein
12.5 grams carbs
1.6 grams fat

Enjoy - and feel welcome to forward this email to your friends if you want to share the recipe! HolyGrailBodyTransformation [dot] com

ETA: Some of these may not be OP, however you could always substitue or just use the turkey meat to make them. Or use this recipe for everyone else and yours is just turkey, that way you all have the same type of burgers!
