Right on board with you, sister!
My Why:
I just hit my breaking point with my weight and forced myself to conquer it. I really started to fear dying of a heart attack at a premature age
My January Goal:
Lose 15 pounds.
I will be checking in here regularly Good luck to all! Or should I say, strength!

When I wrote the title Be A 10 in 2010 I wasn't thinking of a SIZE 10.
I was thinking of a PERFECT 10 on a scale of 1-10 The best you can be
Guess it works both ways
When I hit goal I should also be in a size 10........ 5'8" and 150
Glad to see others ready to give it a try. Together we can all do this!

I would love to join you all! My goal is to lose 60-70 pounds and get back to my healthy weight. I am doing a medically supervised fasting program with shakes, entrees, etc. I start on Jan 6, which is my first meeting. I would love to start Jan 2, but was advised not to by my weight loss counselors.
Count me in! What do we do to motivate each other or set little goals? I'm new to this site, so am not sure about the informal rules and regulations.

I'm in! Nataliejo, you are such a rock on this board, thank you! And your determination and success is heartening to the rest of us!
My Why...........
To get healthy and in shape so that I can participate in the active things my family does instead of sitting life on the sidelines. To get my blood sugar levels and blood pressure down.
My Goal for January...........
To break my psychological glass floor of 230 pounds (my goal is 229 or better!)

What was the big dal about starting earlier than the 6th. DId they say why they wanted you to wait? This way you can go in with experience, though, no?

I can't start yet as I just ordered my meals. But my little goal is to lose 10 lbs in Jan.
My big goals are to be a size 12 again and to lose 139 lbs. That's an entire person........I call her Mable. I wish to lose Mable, I'm tired of carrying her around.

So you all did great with your WHY and your small steps to get you there.
It's also important to reward yourself for your success. We never want to use a food as a reward so think of something to pamper yourself like a warm bubble bath, a new nighty, quiet time with a book or a chat with a good friend.
Anyone want to share their reward?
I'm really close to goal so mine will be some new clothes that fit the new me.

My reward will be a pedicure. I love them and they make me feel so "girlie" and pretty.

My weigh in -2 lbs in week 30 -5 more to go.
Everyone has great WHYS and are setting small goals to get there. It's one week into the NEW YEAR so everyone should have a weigh in to report. You can add it to this thread.
Make sure you post your WHY where you will see and read it everyday. Everyday you should do something, no matter how small, that will get you closer to your WHY.Reward yourself for making each little goal you set for yourself.
How did everyone do their first week in to a whole NEW you?

Good for you for not giving up you are sooo close to ONE-derland a big mile stone. Good luck!
Welcome all the newbies!
I think you have finally found the LAST weight loss program you will even need.
There's a great community of like minded loosers here all on the same journey together.
Medifast works and has worked for the past 30 years. 20,000 doctors have used the program for their patients.
I found it thru a friends email and I'm so thankfull I took note of his progress and did my own research on the company.
Turning yourself into a walking, breathing, fit and healthy billboard is the best advertising out there.
Together we are changing our lives and the people around us just by getting healthy and more active.
So lets do it!
? So how did you find the Medifast program?
