Default Question about digestive issues from a newbie

I know that this is not the most pleasant subject for conversation, but I would really like to know if other people have experienced the same thing and if so, if it is temporary.

I am on day six of Medifast and I am totally loving almost everything about it. Except that I haven't had a normal bowel movement in six days. I used to have regular bowel movements every day.

Also - sorry to get even more unpleasant - I have been passing gas a lot. A lot.

I am a little uncomfortable and a little concerned.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Boudicca (nice name btw!),

I have had some digestive problems at the beginning too, but they usually cleared up by Day 2. But mine were the opposite of being stopped up

When you say "normal" bowel movement, what do you mean? Not to get too TMI, heh! But there is much less food in your system on this plan, so I think it's normal to actually poop every couple days or so, and have it be small.

With 5 shakes, I know the fiber level is decent, so I bet you will see things clear up soon

What is your typical daily menu? And what did you usually eat pre-Medifast?

I would try drinking more water... and you might try Gas-X for the gas

It's been 11 days for you now I see. How are you doing?

Hope you feel more on track
