You guys have offered some great insight, and I'm really impressed with everyone's progress! I'm hoping you might have some thoughts for me. On Feb. 3rd I started my grocery store Medifast by using EAS-Advantedge shakes, Atkins Day Break Peanut Butter Crunch bars and then beginning to add in other low carb/high protein "mini-meal" options (such as light mozzerella sticks, boiled eggs or a tuna packet with part of my green so I'd feel like I was having something for lunch). From the 3rd to the 9th I lost 12 pounds and then came to a screeching halt. No further weight loss. I had read that by "shocking" your system by coming out of Ketosis for a few days then going back in, it would jump start you so I'm hoping that helps. I just started back toward Ketosis yesterday so there hasn't been enough time for results. I can't really do the actual Medifast due to not only the cost, but soy seems to leave me feeling unusually bloated. The eating 6 times a day seems to work well with me, as well as the low carb, I am just feeling a bit discouraged as I don't know what the issue might be. I am grateful for any thoughts or advice.

First of all, "Thank You, Thank You!!" to those of you who recommended it - I never would have known about Diet Direct without you. We have been scarfing down their food ever since it showed up on Friday. It is MUCH less expensive than MF, far better tasting-in my opinion, and I get pasta again, Yes!

Some things to know before you order: the meals that come 7 to a box are smaller than you'd expect. (The spicy cheese n pasta is a lot like chili mac hamburger helper, and yummy if that's a comfort food for you like it is for me) I fixed this by adding 1/2 cup green beans or some other low carb vegetable. The creamy alfredo which comes 3 to a box was a bigger serving, and with some chicken chunks made a great dinner entree. The Bariwise pb&j bar was awesome to someone who hadn't had a sandwich in what seems like forever. The WonderSlim snack bars are good but snack sized, so expect that. The crispy bars are normal size. The WS snack bites are tasty and textured just like apple jacks except savory, not sweet. We didn't like the chips as much, they are crispy to the point of being like a very hard tortilla chip texture, and the flavors didn't come through enough to compensate. My husband really liked the corn chowder, I got a taste and liked it, but not enough to really judge. And, they have desserts! I haven't tried the cheesecake yet so I can't judge it. The chocolate cake has a slightly gelatinous texture, but tastes like real chocolate cake!

I had some technical issues with the website, don't hit your back button it causes problems. So I called it in, which worked great because I got some good advice on what to get. And I got a hard copy catalog which is easier for me, I like to have something to hold and write comments in.
WHat brand are you buying that has 100 or less calories and are like MF?

Default HI I am Linda

I started doing MF way of eating the 23rd.
I made up my own food list and meals
I have lost 4.2 lbs in five days
I have never lost weight this quick.
I do believe it is the eating every two hours.

I have been over weight for a long long time.,
I need to lose 70-75 lbs.

an example of my meals are
Breakfast:
first I drink a big bottle of tea
have :
1 cup cooked egg beaters or egg whites and salsa
or Kasha waffle, one does it with sugar free syrup

two hours later
south beach shake or bar or special K crisp crackers or pretzels or sf pudding and water or tea
or some crunchy veggies

two hours later
same as above

two hours later Lunch

large salad, no dressing or some olive oil drizzle or fat free dressing
with 4 oz protein and another healthy veggie, like broccoli

two hours later
south beach shake or bar or special K crisp crackers or pretzels or sf pudding and water or tea

two hours later
south beach shake or bar or special K crisp crackers or pretzels or sf pudding and water or tea

two hours later
south beach shake or bar or special K crisp crackers or pretzels or sf pudding and water or tea

I am satisfied my stomach may even once in a while growl. But that is good.

I sleep a lot better,

to each his own, on how this works I guess.
This works best for me, repeating is easier for me and I can carry my protein bars with me so that I have my snack every two hours.

it all adds up to the 100-110 calorie snack

On the lean and green, I have a salad with fat free dressing and chicken breast. I am going to try the spaghetti sauce recipe in one of the medifast books I got off of amazon. I do eat vegan "meat".

Default DIY medifast guide

I found this downloadable DIY medifast guide that has really helped me. Worth every penny to get all of the information in one place to do it on my own. Already down 10 lbs in 2 weeks. I just joined so it won't let me post the link yet. I'll share once I hit my 25 posts!!

Sometimes, I use the ranch flavored ones as "croutons"
Can you tell me more about the WF Soy Crisps? Do you have a picture or is the name slightly different? I can't find them. Thanks!

It's great that there are products that are not harmful to health. I remember when I worked as a presentation specialist, a client asked us to redesign my presentation This was a representative of Medifast. When I was preparing new slides for the presentation of his products, I studied them in detail and I can say that the quality impressed me.
