I posted a bit of my weight loss history here. Now posting a couple of pics:

This was taken in Dec 2002 or Jan 2003. I was up to about 170 in this pic. I cut my hair short not long after the twins were born just to make it easy to do, but I think it makes my face look even rounder.

This is around June or July 2003, not long before I reached goal. I was probably about 125-130 in this pic. It's a bit fuzzy, sorry.

This is a really sad picture. Within a year of reaching goal I was up to 178. I think this was taken around Oct 2004. I had re-joined the diet forum from when I lost the weight and wanted to be accountable for what I'd done to myself, so I put on the same clothes from the previous picture. It still took me a long time after this to get the weight off.

Here's another one taken in Feb 2005 with my girls. I was still around 175-178, but I'm hiding it better in this photo.

This is the one in my profile from May 2008 right after reaching my high-end range of 135.

And another of me and my girls. This is right after I got back from India (business travel), so it must have been late April, just before I reached goal. This girls are showing off the outfits I got them.

The only recent pictures I have of me are from our visit to San Francisco last month. It was cold, so there's nothing where you can really see my "size", but at least my face is thin and no double chin! I'll take some new pics on my 1 year since reaching goal.

You look amazing. And I can't get over just how much younger you look with the weight off. It's really, really drastic.

Your girls are precious and so are those outfits. They must have loved getting them.

wow, thank you for all the kind words!

Robin, honestly I never thought about looking younger, but looking at the pics, I guess you are right. That feels nice! Yes, the girls love the outfits!

thank you again everyone - hardly anyone has seen those pics, esp the one from Oct 2004 at 178 - ugh! I hate that pic, but it's a great reminder that I don't ever EVER want to go there again!

Default A few photos

I have to admit that nearly all my old pictures are boxed up in California. I only have these from my high school graduation, when I was 17 years old. I think I actually gained weight over the next 5 years before I started losing weight. We didn't own scales so...I think I weighed about 250 lbs because a few years later I moved in with a roommate who had a scale, and that's what I weighed. Then I went on a grilled chicken and oatmeal diet, and lost 20 lbs. I think. Because a few months after I started using the scale I realized it was broken (as in, zero wasn't zero anymore. I think I broke it. 250 was the limit.) By the time I started at Curves I weighed in at 231 lbs, 41% body fat.

I am told I still had this same baby face--people often asked me when I was going to graduate high school when I was 21. I look older now.

Sorry the pics are grainy. I scoured my computer drives and boxes--no fat pics. I guess I was on a mission to leave my past behind me.
