Question Not Necessarily Low Carb - But Need For Kids

I would like to try to make a healthier pancake mix. Has anyone seen a recipe for pancakes where you take raw oats and put them in a food processor to make it flour like. Then you use the oatmeal-flour to make pancakes. I know I saw this somewhere and now I cannot remember where.

Sylvia, Not sure if this is what you're thinking of but I use the "protein pancake recipe" that you has been mentioned on this board.

Equal parts plain oatmeal, cottage cheese, egg whites, with some vanilla flavoring and a bit of Splenda. Blend together in blender or food processor. I sometimes add flax seed or wheat bran for more fiber. Using 1/3 cup of each, I get three pancakes for about 190 calories. I always make it with 1 cup of each, then put the remaining batter in the refrigerator for the next two days.

Thanks. I'm going to try both recipes.
