Frequently the same questions are asked over and over so we have created a place to keep information permanently.
You can still ask a question in the regular Low Carb! Forum or can post it here in this thread. We will be moving the most pertinent replies from the regular thread into this Section on an ad hoc basis. The posts will be information only - that is they will be locked. Any further questions will need to be posted here.
If you answered, "Yes" to all three questions, YOU WIN!!!!

I am trying to do a ww and low carb combination. Is it better to eat brown rice and whole wheat pasta, whole wheat couscous instead of regular or does it not make any difference?
I was looking at the dietary info on 2 packages from the same pasta company. The whole wheat pasta said 64 for carbohydrates and the white flour pasta said 63 carbohydrates...
I am confused
Choose whole wheat and multi-grain EVERY time. They are lower glycemic index - i.e, slower to convert to glucose in the bloodstream so you feel satisfied longer. You can subtract the fibre grams from the carb grams as well if you are into serious counting of carbs.
Hope this helps. Yell if not!
A good book is The Glucose Revolution. let me know if you want to borrow it.
Is it okay to eat dates when doing low carb ? I only eat one or two as a treat once in a while as they are very sweet but I was wondering if they are not a good thing dietary wise.
Depends on the type of low carb you are on. One date has 23 calories and 6.1 grams of carbs. If you are on Atkins Induction, I'd say skip it but other LC plans would allow it.
Mauvais, just have your dates and enjoy them - I know you are getting pretty close to goal so live it up!
