Hi All: I have lost 2 posts today and am getting just a little P---ed off. Anne before I forget you mentioned that your Mom and sister were thinking Terrier. Terrier's are very high energy dog. Maybe someone can researce breeds on the net. There is a good site www.thepoop.com that would be helpful. I have just decorated the tree for the 2nd day in a row. The lights are gold and I wanted to put more on this year. We couldn't find any so brought clear ones and changed every light to gold. Half an hour later we smelt burning rubber and the lights went out. So had to change to clear and all the ornaments had to come off to change the lights. Bought all my baking stuff today to do my baking at DD's next week. I am leaving for the GTA on Sunday to puppy sit Cooper for DD. He had a hernia repair and was nuetered (?) and can't to with the dog walker for 2 weeks. My Mom is not good and Step-father is also sick. I am making a chicken lemon soup of WW's in a minute will let you know how it tastes. It's 2 points. Well will talk to you tomorrow

Hi everyone,
Lynn, I'm sorry to hear your mom and step father aren't doing well. Do they have some kind of cold or are is it something else?
I was wondering about that soup, I've seen it somewhere. Sounds like your having a time with your tree.

Anne, that young offenders act sounds stupid. Must have been some bleeding heart idiot thought that one up. Kids are a lot different than they use to be. Seems like a lot of them get everything, but disicpline. Then the good kids and us older people, have to live with them.
What I eat on a typical day is
Breakfast-cereal, usually cream of wheat or shredded wheat (2 biscuits) with 1 cup of 1% milk--4 points
10am-snack of a piece of fruit or 1/2 cup of applesauce-1 point
Lunch-almost always a Healthy Choice Dinner (they run around 6-7 points) with a salad that has 1 oz of cheese and 10 croutons and FF french dressing (I count this as 2 points)
2pm-snack fruit or a low fat ice cream treat that is 2 points
Supper-chicken curry-a chicken breast with seasonings that is grilled (5 points), faux tatoes (3 points) this is the good old cauliflower with cream cheese and sour cream. I do eat a potato though on occasion but usually plain without anything on it. Broccoli (0 points), Salad with cheese and ff dressing (1 point)
My suppers generally are around 8-10 points
Snack later in the evening- Kettle corn that is 98% FF the entire bag with flavored water
This equals 28 points. If I want to add something extra, I have 2-4 AP everyday from exercise. Sometimes, I'll have a couple of pieces of low calorie toast with peanut butter and jelly on it. It works out to 4 points and is so good. Or maybe another ice cream sandwich. I like them better than ice cream, because I can't accidentally eat more without actually getting another one out of the freezer. I eat fat still, I'm not totally FF, but I do choose lower fat stuff or reduced fat products. I know that some fat is good for me. I can't stand the FF cheese, so I either eat full fat or 2% kinds. Also, I drink a lot of water and several cups of coffee during the day too.
Also, your suppose to have 3 servings of milk a day, 5 servings of vegetables or fruits. I don't always get my dairy in, I'm not much of a dairy person.
Anne, the law you have does not sound right at all. Some kids commit such horrible crimes. That's good you're getting a week off you deserve some time away from and the stress of your job. So, enjoy your vacation.
Lynn, I don't know what happened to your post. I got 2 e mail notifications, one was for our thread of Nov. 14th, and one for our current thread. I went into the thread of the 14th, and there was your post. I then went into our current thread, and there was the same exact post. I am so sorry to hear that your mother and step-father aren't doing well. I hope it's just something minor and that they're both feeling better soon. Have a safe trip tomorrow.
Nikki, hope you're having a great time in your DH's hometown. I made mashed potatoes the other night using some chicken broth. They weren't as creamy as if you used milk, but they tasted ok. Oh ya, I used SS handy-dandy su-chef to make mash them. It really works good. The next time I make the potatoes w/chicken broth, I'll try using a little more broth and use my regular ole hand mixer, as the su-chef had only 1 wire whisk to do the job.
Since DH has been sick with his latest cold, Lacee & I have been sleeping in the spare bedroom, as I don't want to catch it. I can't remember the last time when I've gotten such a good night's sleep. I still wake up occasionally, but turn over and go right back to sleep instead of tossing and turning for hours on end. Even Lacee is not restless like she usually is.
Good morning,
We had a very interesting night last night. Saw a lot of old friends and DH's brother and his girlfriend were there. She's a lot younger than BIL, only 23. She is pleasant enough, but later in the night she got into a heck of a fight with another woman. We had to pull them off each other and try to keep them seperated. As it turned out, after the cat fight was over, I still had a good time. Played a game of pool with some other women and lost badly, but it was still fun.
Got up this morning with a bad hangover. Did the 2 mile WATP and it doesn't feel as good when your head feels like it's going to fall off. I've sure noticed a diffference in my abs since I started doing all those crunches. I have 2 different tapes and do one one day and the other the next. It works out to 350 crunches one day and 190 the next.
Aleka, I haven't slept with DH in years. After I broke my ankle, I couldn't get into the bed very easily, so started to sleep on the couch. Besides, he works nights and sleeps during the day most of the time. I still don't sleep with him on his nights off, because I found out, it's so much better not having to worry if I'm going to wake him if I get up, turn over, etc. Plus, I don't have to listen to him snore, or have him kick me (he's a kicker). Once he kicked me so hard in the crotch, I literally fell out of bed. He has some bad dreams and will kick or hit out, so it's really not safe to be next to him anyway. I love the idea of sleeping with him, but the reality is, it just makes more sense for me to sleep alone. I think I do rest much better that way too. Except for Stripe, who is a devil and wakes me several times a night. I'm glad you got some good sleep last night, it's been a long time since you've said you have been able to do that. Hope your DH gets better soon. You'd think being in a warmer climate, a person won't be as suseptable to getting colds. Maybe it's because there are more people there?
I'm still planning on going to the lake and take a walk. It's a beautiful day today. Take care, Nikki
Hi All: Aleka my posts are a mystery!!!! Spent the day getting DH organized to batch it for the week I am gone. Of coarse he has to stay here with Mya as she will get Cooper going. I too have slept in my own room for years. A lot of my friends do to. It is a more restful sleep and if I do wake up and can't get back to sleep I put the tv on and that sometimes helps. At the trailer because I don't want to spread out another bed we sleep together but thank God that is for only 4 or 5 months a year. Besides I had my own room when I grew up and now that the kids are gone why have empty rooms? Also I bet I snore and I know my DH does and loudly too. The dog is the only one who gets confused and spends the night wandering from room to room. she can sleep during the day. Well must clean out the fridge as I prep dinner, I will talk to you all in a day or two. Lynn
