Hey Dottie, we got some flooding here, DH's shop has 30" of water, so he's been there since 4 AM this morning. Our home is okay, thank God! But the best thing of all no one was hurt. I was driving in that afternoon flooding, took me 3 hours to get home what would have normally took me 1 hour. Roads were blocked, traffic was horrendous and highways were going 20 mph b/c the water that accumulated in the middle of the highway (the divider) was in all the lanes. The sewers couldn't keep up w/it so it was all backing up. DH's shop is near paramus.

I hear yah on the eating. I don't do salads like I used to so you know what I do, I eat everything but the lettuce. When I make my caesars I grill ckn, chop it up, add some grape tomatoes, egg, olives, etc...mix w/the dressing and its SOOOOOOO much better IMHO. Oh grated cheese too I can't knaw on that much lettuce either. You can do this w/ham, cheese really anything, just think lettuceless salads. You'll be hooked.... bacon too

In the past 5 days I have done really well but I got on the scale and 0 well its not a full week so I'll weigh myself monday to really see.

Throwing out old clothes that don't fit b/c they are to small is a good thing !!! bring them to a clothes bin, so others can benefit from your benefits

Hey, yah gonna start next week's thread ?

Hi gang. It's pretty quiet in here. I haven't had much to say lately. It's too darned hot to do anything at all. Temps in the low 100s here which we're definitely not used to on the Wet Coast. We don't have A/C but we have the loan of one (from one of hubby's job sites, LOL) just for the weekend. It doesn't seem to have much output but at least it's keeping the house a little cooler.
I just finished eating one of those frozen Drumsticks which is a no-no no matter what diet you're on so I guess I get a black mark for that. I have the new Oprah magazine which has several lengthy articles about dieting and the best way to lose and keep off wait. Trouble is, they all seem to entail eating a LOT LESS and learning to LIVE WITH LESS. Even the gourmet recipes designed by their dietician and a chef have puny little servings. Bah, HUMBUG! Oh yeah, and they ALL advise lots and lots of (gasp) exercise. That's no fun. Can you tell I'm not really into this right now?
