Default Low-carb bars?

Hey there, I'm just new started the Zone a week ago.
I was wondering what you guys thought of low-carb or balanced carb bars or shakes or things of the like.
Not wanting to start a debate if the bars are the WTG here, LOL, b/c I'm mostly eating very healthfully and don't plan to replace every meal with fake chocolate bars.
More looking for input on the ones to stay away from (flavour-wise) and ones that are really good.
I've only ever tried the Zone chocolate mint and the Zone peanut butter chocolate. The peanut butter chocolate one was better, and quite good. It also kept me satieted a long time, unlike some fake carb products.
Any scoop on good-tasting shakes or bars that are low-carb or carb-balanced would be appreciated!

i have taste some low carb bars. most are not that good to me. i have had a couple that were good. read the labels - some say that they have a sugar carb of 2 or 3 grams carbs and then you read the total carbs are like 25 carbs per bar. misleading i say. sue

I don't really care for the bars...but I do have a protein shake from time to time. The only bar I used to eat a lot was the balance bars, had a yogurt coating. They were good. And blueberry cheesecake by Protien something.?(sorry, it's been a while)

for shakes, I use a whey based chocolate powder, like Designer Protein,(NO SOY), and mix it with water, 1/2 and 1/2, a little extra sweetener or vanilla and blend with ice. It's like chocolate milk. Many of the premade shakes are palatable as well. I've has the EAS, read the label, they make one that has carbs for a meal replacement that's more 40-30-30.

enjoy
