I've been up and at it for a while!
I've been thinking about the Daily in here and realize we've lost some of the "old" Low Carbers somewhere. I don't mean to the Atkins or South Beach Forums. Maybe they have just fallen off the wagon completely. Hmmmm - we may have to track them down and tell them to hustle their fluffy butts in here.
Whaddaya think?
My goal for the day? To NOT go to the Chinese Buffet in The Falls when I do my afternoon errands there. Wish me strength, chickies.

Good morning MamaJ and all to come
Alright, you sure you all want to know???? really? are you sure?
IM GETTING MARRIED!!! ..........and you thought I was! Hubby and I have been living in sin for 2 yrs, and due to circumstances beyond our control, we havent been able to make any plans. Well.....our path was cleared, and now its time to make plans!! We dont know when yet, we are still working on dates, but it will most likely be this summer. Im sooooooo thrilled, and scared and worried. But thats just my nature!! Like I said its going to be a very interesting year for us.
Thats my news.......Im off to get ready for my day.

OMG !!!!! We're going to be bridesmaids!!!!! AND Aunties !!!!
I'm soooo excited for you Robin and significant other!!!!!!
DH and I lived in "sin" for two years before we could get "things" out of the way for our wedding also. It's just real life and happens - lol I want details, details, details...... church or garden wedding? Colors? You know we've got to coordinate
And Pooky's preggers !!!! Wow !!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!
I still haven't had time to go back and read the past month worth of threads - lol - it's all I can do to be sneaking in now! DH is feeling a bit under the weather so I made him take some meds and a nap so I can chat for a little bit!
I think I read where Sono's been under the weather - hope you're feeling much, much better!
Ruthie - stay away from that Chinese food! I'll send you an "E" that someone just sent me and it's guaranteed to keep you from the Peking Moon'ish restaurant! How's Harry and the "girls"?
Kel - How're things moving along for you? And the new job? The kiddo's & pupps?
You prob did get an overflow of "e's" from me as I hadn't been on line for so long my mailbox was definately full - lol - sorry !!!
Regarding the mammogram - what they said is....there are abnormalities on each side which were not there before. It looks benign at this time but do a follow up in six months. Well, not sure if I want to wait that long, soooo, had them also faxed over to the surgeon for his review and input on possible scar tissue. So, we shall see. A bit nervous but not totally panicky. The pap results showed abnormal cells and also a redo in about six weeks. Again, not panicky yet but can't help but let thoughts go thru your mind. But God is with me and what choice do you have but to deal with things and put them in his hands.
Feels sooooo good to see my sons doing things together again. DS Michael avoiding any/all contact he could with Stephen for soooo long and now they make plans together. Also older son Chad. When Stephen first came home I had him sit down and right his top priorities and re-establishing a loving relationship with his family was number one. Of course the mom in me is still on pins and needles cause we went thru so much with him for so many years but it just feels wonderful to look into that clear bright eyes every day! The good boy that I kept fiighting for seems to have finally won out. Must admit that I think God must've sent down an Angel to help out tho. While he was living out of town and things weren't going very well an older couple (my age-lol) whom he had just met took a liking to him and he lived with them for several months. They were instrumental in helping him see "life". I spoke with Bryce last night and he told me that in so many of the talks he and Stephen had....many, many times Stephen would respond with "yeah, that's what my mom says, too". When he asked to come back home he knew he was ready and strong enough. Thank you, Thank you dear God and Bryce and Rose.
Okay - been OP for last few days. I'm not even thinking about the surgery at this point. I think I've made up my mind to wait until after the second mammo. So, I'm taking that pressure off myself (and hopefully the pounds I've put back on in stressing and eating - lol)
Guess I'd better get the typing done or dh will have his nap and I still won't be finished
Ruth, I think it's a great idea to try to contact some of our missing chicky friends. I know that for myself it was a combination of server problems and just life. At least when dh/sons were going to the deer lease I could get in Friday-Sunday for a bit....now it just seems as tho there's no me time at all. But there wasn't a day that ya'll weren't thought of and missed.

Too late, Mamaj! The deed has been done - but in moderation! Remind me not to whine about water weight tomorrow.
Hey, Robin - are we all invited? My Girls would love to be flower dogs.

Hey, Ruthie. I had a feeling you couldn't resist. I'm sure you were very careful though. I agree that we should go and round up those lost Chicks.
ROBIN!!! What exciting news! I'm so very happy for you and your soon-to-be dh. Gosh, gang, a new baby and a wedding this year. How cool is that!
MamaJ, your story about your prodigal son's return brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for you and your family. Keeping my fingers crossed that your mammo is good news too. I just got notified that it's time for me to go into the waffle iron. Grrrr. That visit sure comes around fast.

OK, this is gonna be a real quick Thursday post, since it's actually Friday and I need to get moving to work (never had a chance to get in here yesterday!!)
Ruth....... water weight? what water weight? didn't you know that Chinese food is GOOD for us?!??!?! I always thought it was one of the basic food groups!!! Actually, I got 2 lbs of chinese food weight on Wednesday - you'd think that with all of my intestinal "issues" yesterday (btw, anyone have stock in Imodium? It's gonna go real high ) I might have lost more than that 2 lbs........
Robin.. whoooooopppppppeeeee: it's been years (actually maybe never!!) since I've been a brideschickie! Hmmmm, yellow isn't my very best color, but maybe with Ruth's chicken purse and bra it'll work.......
Mamaj and Kel - HEY! you been holding out w/funnies? I WANT IN!! (please, please, please.... I never post my addy, but we could pm them????)
OK.... now, I'm gonna check today's thread and REALLY get my act in gear for the day!
