How absolutely awful, he was so young at heart and has so much more to do in his life.

My prayers to all his family and those who's life he has touched.

Oh how very sad..a man who saw the healthful benefits of eating a low carb lifestyle and lived it to the end...my prayers to the family...

Oh, that is so sad. I first saw him on tv back in the 70s and he made so much sense I went right out and bought his first Diet Revolution book. It changed my life. He seemed like a genuinely nice fellow. A lot of the other low carb diet authors who have made mega-bucks sure owe dear Doc Atkins a big thank-you.

he hung in there when no one else believed him, and we're proof that his ideas were valid. thank goodness there are now docs to carry on his work!
