Up and at 'em, Chickees!
I've got the coffee. Who's got time to chat? I'm only here for about another 45 minutes then it's off to DS6's school to chaperone a field trip. We're going to the local fun center to play minature golf and drive go carts. Never done the latter -- should be fun.
Went off program last night a little. Had 1 cup of Friendlies' Forbidden Chocolate Explosion premium icecream (you don't want to know the carb level ). It was heavenly. I've been good so I'm not beating myself up about it. In fact, I'd wanted it all day but told myself that, if I still craved it after my Avon sales meeting, I could have 1 cup. And I did! Now it's back OP for me.
Hope you all have a good day!

Morning Everyone!!
Just a quick post--trying to get ready for Dr.'s appt and then DS and I are off from there to my school's Summer Reading Program. It requires making that 48 mile drive down to the town I teach in, but it is usually fun. DS enjoys helping and the kids love having him there. Of course it does require a mandatory stop for lunch for him at McDonald's. I am getting a chicken salad shake up--already got it planned. DS did get to play his football game, but they lost. He didn't seem to upset about it. I am feeling bloated and crampy today so other than this reading program thing they aren't getting much out of me today.
jd--I had ice cream last night too. I tried a new kind (new to me anyway) Blue Bunny-Fat Free-No Sugar Added-Sweetened With Splenda "Brownie Delight" It was not too bad and it felt good eating ice cream. The carbs are still not that low, but gee a girl has to have something right???
Have a good day everyone!!

Shucks! Now I am craving ice cream - Baskin Robbins Pralines 'n Cream, please. We really should never flog ourselves over these treats, especially if they are planned and controlled. We DO have to live you know. (I wonder where the closest B&R Ice Cream place is? I'll write it into my Harvard Planner.)
Today I feel like an early Christian martyr (non-virgin)! Giving blood for testing is difficult for me as my veins seem to disappear as soon as the tourniquet goes on. I am stuck and pricked and bruised in several different places. The nurse and I are semi-seriously considering a permanent spigot for this kind of testing. Anyhow going out for breakfast afterwards was a consolation.
We are drowning here! I have never seen it rain the way it did yesterday. Half our lane gravel has washed into the barn and some of my transplants are flattened. The dogs just went out when necessary and did all their potty under the big pine tree with no dilly-dallying! However, they still came back soaked to the skin. My house still smells of wet dog and it is raining again right now.
So - the Big Domestic is on the schedule for today because I sure can't garden. No supper to cook as it is the Oak Leaf Social - this is a dinner really that has been taking place for over 100 years in mid-June. The Church is one of three in our Parish and is located on a hill overlooking rolling fields and woods. It's just wonderful to sit outside and eat. The menu is ham, scalloped taters, salads and home made pie. Hmmmm - I will pick 2 out of 4. No! Not scalloped taters and pie! It had better stop raining before then or I will be registering a complaint with Management this Sunday!
I hope everyone has a great day.

'Morning everyone......
Ruth, I'm sorry you're so soggy! I guess maybe the torrents we had here last week have moved on up to you...... my apologies
This morning I feel like I don't know what to do with myself! I finished my clinical hours yesterday, so I don't have to go to work today ......... now I just have to start looking for paid employment! Of course, there is more to do around here than can possibly be done in my lifetime, and I should get a start on it, but then again (in my Scarlett O'Hara mode) - there's always tomorrow!
I hope everyone enjoys their day(s).......
btw - do we have any sort of "regularly scheduled" chat? Whenever I check the chat room - it's empty

Morning ladies,
Well yesterday was the last day of school. We went to Canabie Lake Park in Salem NH. It was suppose to rain all day but we lucked out with not a drop. I think Ruth must have gotten it all! I was with a group of 9 kids and we had a ball. I did all the rides, and I must say that I love it.
Well I slept late, DH took the kids out to breakfast and I am still in bed watching TV. I need to at least pretend that I am part of the family.
I have been back to WW for about 2 weeks and I think I am down about 3 lbs. Not as many as I would like, but some is better than none. Fiber is the key for me, but I must admitt I am felling a little bit deprived. Oh well who said this is easy?

Happy Day!
I must say I am enjoying single life and not working....I could get used to this.... It is amazing how much I can get done around he house when I am not working every day.....
Girls seem to be happpier too...even dd10 crawled in with me in the middle of the night....I think she still needs me alot more than she likes to admit in the light of day.
School goes right until the end of June here and then they go back the first week of Sept.
The weather here is beautiful but they have called a state of emergency in Southern Alberta where a girlfriend of mine lives.
Well I hope you are all having a great day!
Talk to you later.
Liz

Happy Humpy Day!
Gee Ruth, we could use some of your rain here in Houston. It's hotter than the here!
Went out for breakfast with DH this morning. Headed to the vitamin cabinet for the tons of new supplements I've started taking, popped the glass under the ice drop of the fridge and nothing.....thought it was jammed, opened the freezer door and water comes running out! Everything is melted, thawed, dripping!
The darn thing is only 2.5 years old! The repairmen said they can make it out next week or we can pay a fee for priority service and they'll make it out sometime Friday! Thank goodness we bought a new deep freeze earlier this year! And of course it has to happen when I just filled it to the brim last week!!!
Doing some typing for dh before making a Sams trip for supplies and starting at the bottom of Mt. Laundry!
Hey DebKay and Good4Me-I checked out your locations on mapquest and guess what! Easley SC is exactly half way between you two! Anyone else in that area up to a get together in the next month or so?
Hope everyone has a great day!
J

Oh Ruth, you had to say Praline "n Cream! That's my all time favorite icecream in the world. For my BD, I usually get 2 quarts of it and you better believe that I don't share. I savor every little spoon of it.
I am making the WW soup with no points today and freezing portions. DH loves it and will be taking a thermos of it to work to enjoy about 3:00 in the afternoon. He starts getting hungry then and by the time he is home, he is starving.
Besides doing that, am also vacuuming and doing laundry. I have a Board of Adult Ed meeting at church tonight Finally, I'm off the the B of Evangelism. The chairlady is senile and she drove me nuts. She never did figure out that I'm handicapped and cannot go traipsing across the countryside visiting people.
See ya later!

L - You live close enough to Salem to go to Canobie Lake Park? I grew up in Billerica, MA and, as soon as I got my driver's license, I went to Canobie at least twice a month while it was open! I just loved that place! Now I live about an hour north of Salem (Rochester, NH). We've made it to Canobie twice since I got married. Kids love it but hate the drive. Funtown/Splashtown USA is now closer to us and offers the water part (Splashtown) for cooling off after all the rides (Funtown). Pretty much the same cost, too.

My vote goes to Blue Bell Banana Split Ice Cream. To those of you who are not familiar with Blue Bell I'm so sorry! It's the best in the west, or south or wherever there area is. (I know by their ad's it's not available in NYC) Anyway a scoop of their Banans Split is just like eating the real thing!!!! Ummmmmmm.
I'm having my first bout of constipation since starting this LC thing. I've heard it was a part to the plan, but today is my first time to experience it. I don't like this part.

Jd,
how old are the kids? Mine wat a trip to wate country, but the weather sucks this week, maybe we could plan to meet there for a day later in the summer? Let me know, it is in Porsmith NH and not a tough ride for us.
Anne, there is a tea called smooth move? That may help. Friends swear by it, No cals no carbs.

Whew! Thank goodness its Hump Day!!
I worked my butt off today! The file room needed my attention, so of course I pick the hottest day so far this year. No a/c vent in that little closet, dang it! I was sweating and kneeling and standing and walking back and forth, so I don't need any more exercise today! That is a plus!
MamaJ, I will go to Easley whenever the rest of ya'll decide a date! I wanna have a chick chat face to face, too! Come on everybody, SC's not THAT bad Actually it's pretty ok!!
All right, let's get on with the topic of the day. Mayfield's Moose Tracks is my favorite ice cream, and now I want to go buy some 'cause we're having this conversation!
Ya'll have a wonderful night and I'll check in later!
